He dared to criticise the NZRU over the organisation of the INL Cup. A career limiting move when Sky and NZRU are as heavily in each others' pockets as they are.

I thought was just because he was so crap commentator and everyone just want him to shut up.

He also make some borderline comment during the world cup (nb: I could be wrong about world cup, might be before that) when there was some japanese people wear the all blacks shirt and face painting with the fern in the crowd he said "At least they're supporting the right team now that they're all here". I'm not saying he get fired about it but I didn't hear of him since.
