Computer savvy people HELP!!!

Hey guys, I'm having problems with my computer. It 's Sony Vaio running 64 bit Windows 7 with 6gb ram and 500gb memory, also have Nvidia graphics card.

My issue might be a simple fix but I don't know. I bought McAfee Home protection for a year in October, same age as laptop, and this is my first ever problem, my firewall won't stay on for more than two seconds and IE won't open the Microsoft or McAfee websites. Despite these issues McAfee says there's no issues after four consecutive full scans. During the scan I'm secure or my firewall is off, afterwards I'm either secure or at risk.

My system is rinning smooth as always but these issues are really bugging me I don't have a clue what's wrong. Any help would be fantastic.

The best i can say is completely remove McAfee and re-install it again and see if that helps?
