NFL Competition - Week 1

This competition returns for a third year (second on here). It starts this Wednesday (early Thursday morning) with the New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys game and ends with the Super Bowl next February. Grizzly (don't know where he has gone?) took the title last year by one point from Forward Pass.

All you have to do is guess the score of each game. Anyone can join in, the scoring rules are listed below and this week's games are listed at the bottom of the thread. You can put Thursday night's predictions down and the rest later but please add all addition predictions in a new post.

I will put up a separate thread each Tuesday with that weekend's games for you to put down your predictions. There will be a number of different titles up for grabs such as:-

-Overall Winner (most points from all games regular season & play offs)
-Regular Season Winner
-Play Offs Winner
-Weekly Winners
-Highest Average Score (must have made 50+ predictions)
-Most Correct Scores
-Highest Weekly Total (currently
-NEW! Most Correct game calls (Ie which team you have to win/ as this is similar to GSC’s game I wouldn’t put the table up until the later weeks)

I will only have one results thread but will add each weeks scores in spoilers to the following weeks thread. I am also looking to get the Excel sheet online via Skydrive so anyone can view it.

Think its just more the fact that Saints can put up 30+ on just about any defence in the league. I reckon the Skins defence is going to be pretty decent this year now Rex isn't giving the opposition the ball at the 30 yard line

I put the Saints to have over 30
a) because there going to be pee'd off about alll the suspensions and wanting to show the league there not affected by it.
b) There at home
c) There defence is relatively suspect and so I think Washington might actually put some points up on them meaning Brees will have to do likewise.

I put them over 30 because, as dave said, the are at home, Brees will need to keep scoring on all cylinders to overcome a porous D, and, my no.1 reason, I like the Redskins defense... if you don't include the secondary. Great and vastly underrated front seven IMO, but outside of DeAngelo Hall not much on the back end. Brees and his receivers will have a field day.

Well the Saints did go over 30 on the Skins defence...

Haha!! Well, technically, they didn't cos one of their TDs was a Special Teams play but I'm in too good a mood to start splitting hairs...
