Former CART champion and Jordan, Minardi and Williams driver Alex Zanardi won a gold medal in the Paralympics hand-cycling time trial yesterday: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/disability-sport/19493510

Nice effort! Zanardi lost both legs in a Champ Car accident in Germany in 2001 and was very lucky to survive after losing 3/4s of his blood volume.

Fantastic achievement - I'm chuffed to bits for him.

Even more amazing, given that he's lucky to still be alive after his accident.
