Thoughts on this one??

(this part is just for Jeff)

No way should this muppet be named young boxer of the year, he struggled with a powder puncher in Jamie Arthur and beat up a blown up flyweight to win his belt!!!!!!!

(ahemm, moving on)

Being serious, Quigg has looked impressive but the struggle with Arthur at the start of that fight has sort of stuck in my mind a little. It showed that Quigg can't fight off the back foot. But he is defo a fighter I love to watch as he brings excitement and power each time. So well done for the award.

Is there anyone else you think should have received the award....and why??

Cheers

Dee

Not quite sure how he has won it to be honest....

Do we know the dates in which the 'year' comes under?

Given his last 3 fights it would seem strange to think he is young boxer of the year..

Munroe - Well can hardly use this fight as a bench mark given the outcome.

Arthur - As has been said he didn't look amazing and was put on his backside. Quite exciting bout mind.

Booth - Was coming off to defeats (granted against very good fighters) and a SD victory over Arthur. Probably had already been in 1 tough fight to many.

I suppose the problem is that the category is extremely shallow in depth and bar Fury (awful had he won it) there really isn't anyone else who is quite at the same height yet.

Well Quigg is 23, if we want to think of any fighters from 16-23.

Owen, he won it for his 2011 mate.

I think Lee Selby should have won it.

Can't think of anyone who deserves it more

If being down to Arthur than fury should be pinned down also for being knocked over by feather fisted pajkic

Maddalone and rogan isn't as good as booth and he looked good vs munroe before it finished

Saunders and Galahad don't fight at the same level as the other 2 and frampton and selby are 25 so might not apply and against weaker opposition
