Time to man up Vitali!
First topic message reminder :
Let be honest we all knew that Haye would not retire imo it was just a plan to make Wladamer fight him! Haye has said he wants to fight Vitali so now it is time for Vitali to man up and accept the challenge. The heavyweight division is boring without Haye and it needs him to beat Vitali to add excitement. Hayes fight with Chisora was better than all of the Klitchkos fights combined! So why wont Vitali fight Haye? Imo Vitali knows Haye would destroy him. Look at who the Klitchkos have been fighting they are guys that nobody has heard of?? Vitali says he is getting into politics but imo this is an excuse so he can take easy fights. He is far to old and slow and Haye would have to much speed and skill for him. If Vitali does not accept Hayes challenge he should retire because tbh no one wants to see him fight nobodies. Haye v Vitali is the fight people want to see in the heavyweights and then a rematch with Wlad after Haye destroys Vitali it would be a grudge match! I reckon Vitali could barely beat chisora and then he saw how Haye destroyed him and thought thanks but no thanks so now he is saying he will get into politics but lets be honest what does a boxer like Vitali know about politics?? So man up Vitali and accept Hayes challenge he said he wants the fight it is the fight everyone wants to see!

In my defence I believe I said it in the midst of a particularly dreadful Gordy piece. Gordy made you miss waingro in the same way as Westlife make you miss Take That.

Re: Time to man up Vitali!
I dont think the Klitchkos will be remembered as true greats tbh. Wlad will be remembered for being the most boring heavyweight in history and vitali will be remembered for being destroyed by Lewis and for not accepting Hayes challenge. Haye was an all time great cruiserweight so he will be remembered for that and for adding excitement at heavyweght when the division was boring. The Klitchkos hve been very bad for boxing they are boring and look at America who have no interest in them this shows just how boring they have been. Maybe in Germany the Klitchkos will be remembered as greats like Sven Ottke was but the rest of the world are hoping they retire soon so heavyweight boxing will become more exciting! Haye tried to add excitement to heavyweight boxing and get people interested in it again which is something the Klitchkos have not done.

Re: Time to man up Vitali!
The Klitschkos fight the best out there. The best out there have been beaten. I want you to name one fight beside Haye for Vitali that hasn't been made. Wlad can't help the fact the best heavyweight beside himself is his brother.
They fight carcasses now, but besides Haye, there's nobody for them. Not their fault, and Haye doesn't even hold a claim to be able to fight Vitali, thats how they see it, and for all intents and purposes, they're right.

Imo the Klitchkos did not want to face Valuev they are used to being the bigger fighters in their fights and Valuev would have been alot bigger than them. The Klitchkos do not like hard fights and Valuev would have been to risky for them this guy was massive.

Spot on mate, Don King wanted to keep his champion, not feed him to the most likely conquerors.

lol mate the Klitchkos never offer fair contracts so it is very hard to agree fights with them this is what they do to avoid fights they do not want imo. They did not fight Valuev or Ruiz who Haye fought and look at Povetkin who they have not fought. Haye has called out Vitali and said he will take less than 50/50 which is what he got against Wlad but Vitali has said he is in politics lol.

alma wrote:The thread is getting more and more ridiculous. Can't it be locked? How exactly was vitali destroyed by Lewis. Ok, it was a horrendous cut, but he was 58-56 up on all three scorecards.
And I really hope Waingro that when you refer to sven ottke as a great, that's a 'joke'
Look at vitalis face when he fought Lewis he was completely busted up it was the worst I have seen so how can people think Vitali was winning that fight he was getting destroyed. Vitali is lucky the doctor stopped it when he did or else he would have got knocked and his career could have been ruined he was getting busted up so bad! Ottke is not a great imo he robbed alot and was a stay at home fighter but in Germany they think he is an all time great so my point is in Germany they will say the Klitchkos are all time greats but tbh I reckon the rest of the world will remember them for being boring and killing heavyweight boxing so imo they will not be remembered as all time greats.

Re: Time to man up Vitali!
The Ottke comparison is one that comes up reasonably regularly and is as specious a comparison as one would expect from those that tend to make it. They both fight out of Germany, there the comparison ends. Ottke rarely if ever fought outside Germany, the brothers do on occasions. Ottke rarely showed any inclination to face the best in his division, the brothers do on a regular basis and Ottke frequently relied on favourable judging or refereeing to retain his title, the brothers have never had to rely on such nefarious methods to keep the win column ticking over.

Re: Time to man up Vitali!
The Klitchkos will not be remembered as all time greats imo like Ottke is not remembered as an all time great except in Germany where he fought. The Germans dont mind boring fights and robberies lol. I reckon people will remember the Klitchkos as boring fighters who were bad for boxing and ruined the heavyweights that is if they ever retire! Boxing needs Haye to beat them but now you have Vitali who will not fight Haye and Wlad who will not give him a rematch so this shows how bad the Klitchkos are for boxing they will fight nobodies in boring fights.
