New Rugby Podcast from Joe.ie
I love podcasts so it's great to have an alternative to the other decent podcasts out there, Rugby on off the ball, Rugga matrix, talk sports rugby podcast, even 606v2 has one though I haven't listened to it as its not on iTunes.
Joe.ie is owned by Jerry Flannery former Irish international. Anyway to conclude I find joe.ie's first ever podcast recorded on Flannery's birthday a pretty decent effort. It's high on banter and light enough in content. Expect to hear Flannery and guests such as Mal O'Kelly chiming in on a weekly basis. It's a no holes barred podcast where everyone is in the firing line and bad language is the norm.
So what do you think, have you heard it? Can you recommend any other good podcasts?

Stag I have not listened to it yet as I am bound by the restrictions of my overrated smart phone and can only currently listen to podcasts on iTunes.

You can listen to the 606 podcast, you just have to tap the "download file" icon on the website Stag provided and it starts streaming to your phone.

I'm working on ticking all the boxes we need to get the v2 podcast onto iTunes - I've done a lot of meta-data tidy-up on the uploads and we now have an RSS feed for new editions. Hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks we'll be submitting it to Apple for consideration.

That is wierd. Never understood a. why iPhones are so restrictive and b. why I bought one when there are many better alternatives. C'est la vie.
Though good to hear it will be on iTunes. Good podcasts are a great way to draw in the masses.

Getting it out there will be good. Though re-loading old sound files with "fixed" metadata (basically you need consistent "artist" and "album" info in the metadata) has been a rather tedious job!
(And don't ask about having to re-load this week's parts 2 and 3 because I was an idiot and somehow overlaid the tracks on each other when I split the recording file in half - we managed to talk for 45 minutes in that segment.)

Re: New Rugby Podcast from Joe.ie
Long story short on the podcast this week this was the general debate.
I reckoned that Leinster are there for the taking if Scarlets can grow a pair of liathróidí. The others backed the men in blue.
Exeter are ticking nicely and the next step in their journey is signing a talismanic player with the "x-factor".
Likely winner of HEC will be French.
Munsters inexperienced pack could be their downfall this year with a load of 22-23 year olds who aren't international standard yet manning the backrow.
The key to Tigers, Toulouse and Ospreys group will be Treviso.
Above all else teams need to get SOMETHING from away games be it a win, draw or at minimum losing bonus to be seriously looking at qualifying.

It's a pity as the final is in Dublin but the winner will more than likely be either Toulouse or Clermont with Toulon having an outside chance.

Hmmm, it wouldn't work the other week when I tried on my iPhone (it's an old 3GS), but does today. Maybe you have to have wifi access?

I didn't expect it to work at all but it does and I wasn't on wifi, I've got a 4s, maybe that's why?
It also works with the blues talk podcast.
It does, however, tie up your safari app. But you can still browse at the same time using chrome.
