Tonight's Fights: Scorecards, discussion and thoughts (Spoilers)

Good evening chaps,

Thought I'd stick a thread in for how you rate the fights. I trust Alex and Sean will be about later so will look forward to some input!

The Anderson/Reid "fight" is like watching boxing in slow motion.

Haha it is... But Reid is Outboxing Anderson... I got it 4 rounds for Reid, gotta be careful of those low shots though!

Anderson stops Reid in the 5th after he loses a point for low blows

Anderson needs to watch that fight back... Not a good performance by him. If he was put in with Groves again, it would be one way traffic.

Reid was far too in the fight for any of us to think Kenny can do much going forward...

Paul Smith up next for Anderson and I'd back Smith to beat him. Don't rate Anderson. I like Hearn but to suggest be could fight Degale or Groves is laughable.

Completely agree Cast.

Put Anderson in with Paul Smith. Only then will we see what he's capable of.

I hadn't seen Yafai before but wow. Such quick hands and superb power in both hands. Surprised the ref let it go after the 3rd knockdown.

I'd like to know who beat him to the Team GB squad place.

Andrew Selby took the Olympic place, they were supposed to have s best of 3 box off but yafai pulled out of the second fight

Eddie Hearn wanting Jason Booth next, would be a stern test for a lad with only 4 fights.

Is Selby any good? He has to be to beat this kid.

I like the way they are keeping him busy 4 fights in 4 months and he's looked better every time out. Super bantamweight is the most exciting division for potential at the moment.

Selby beat him quite handily, I think it was a 10-12 point gap in their box off but then had a disappointing Olympics only making the quarters. Selby looked very gold in the worlds in 2011, he missed out on the gold by 2 points.

It could be that Kal is better suited to the pro game.

kell Brook is not jabbing enough for me. Saldiva is beating him to the punch. Round 1 to 5 and its all Saldiva at the moment guys.

Zamora is one tough little guy... Deserves to go out on his shield here but needs to be stopped in the 9th

People used to say the same about Ricky Burns and look at where he is. If McDonnell sticks to his boxing he's a very good fighter, it's when he stands and trades he looks out of place.

Wonder which KB we'll get tonight, hopefully it's the one who looks a million dollars and could take on anyone. Or the one who doesn't look all that bothered, under performs but would still be good enough for Khan.

Jamie M, nice solid Euro level fighter, commentators made a fair point about being rusty. Big worry is a lack of dig and he's not exactly dancing like a fairy in and out/around range.

A crude slugger with no chin. As Az says he was made for Brook, Brook needs another real test before a world title fight.

One thing I wish is the commentators would stop going on about his strength and conditioning training, yes it's great he's doing it but that result would have been no different 12 months ago.

brook struggles with a decent opponent in jones, then proves he is actually world class by beating a nobody from mexico... i like brook as a boxer, but the build up and coverage of his fights are almost unbearable. sky hype him way too much for his own good. i wonder if there will be another eliminator or what their excuses will be for not fighting a world class opponent next time??

Az, one minute you're lauding a 4 fight novice as a big prospect and then slating a guy who's just won a world title eliminator in massively impressive fashion.

Be nice to see him win his title shot and then face Khan in an all British affair. And I know who I'd be backing in that one.

Brook looked brilliant but I'm somewhat inclined to agree with Azania here. Was this guy really much better than Hatton? He was ranked highly by the IBF, though, so you can certainly understand why he was put in the ring with Kell.

I guess scorecards are out of the window! All stoppages.

Gotta love Kell though. "I went back to the draining board"
