49ers D is the best in the NFL, forcing fumbles is what they do, just another day at the office. The Pats are a finesse team who don't like to play physical, I'd fancy most teams in the league to recover fumbles against the Patriots because they seem to just give up on plays at times

So the D just decided to have a break in the second half then did they? I don't recall any fumbles in the second half.

I'm not taking anything away from SF - they were the better team on the night, and I look forward to the rematch in the Super Bowl! thumbsup

I cant see us making the Super Bowl personally Skyforger. As much as I would like us too I just dont think we are quite good enough this year

Although if we can stay healthy on offence I would fancy us to make the Championship game for sure

The ball didn't hit Ginn from what I seen, the analysts agreed too and I'd take their word considering the sort of replays they are able to see. The second half was just Brady at his best and the 49ers not. The second half showed just how much they miss Justin Smith, I think he'll be alright though for the next few weeks. I still think the Pats will struggle against any physical teams, they are used to getting most calls go their way too and the whining is there for everyone to see and that causes their heads to get out of the game a little. I still think they are SB bound though, Denver are a better team but I never go against the Pats when Brady is going strong. Should have been 38 or 41-3 early in 3rd quarter and that would have saved so much worry for me

Have to agree I was getting a bit fed up with Welker appealing for flags. Yes some of them were 50/50, but you can't see the ball is uncatchable and just run into the defender.

I personally don't think the Pats will be in the SB, and I'd like to see Denver there. Storybook return for Manning after everything he's been through.

I must admit I'm with Niner on the whining, it is annoying.

But I wouldnt say we were a particularly soft team like Niner is suggesting, pretty much on a par with most NFL teams, which compared to the 49ers is soft lol (but who isn't!)

I must say I echo what Skyforger said earlier that this loss could be a good ego-check for the Pats.

Hopefully we destroy Jacksonville next week

Well the only NFC teams they play this season are NFC West teams Laugh

On the luck thing, all of SFs fumbles were fumbled snaps tbf, not surprising they all got recovered. Beyond that, NE just got vastly outplayed for 40 minutes, rallied for 10 then ran out of steam for 10. SF also gave up a lot of points in the first half. As a neutral I'd have to say SF were the better team overall, NE only showed up for 20 minutes

To be fair of what I saw of the game (the 1st half) it did look like we were believing the hype, so maybe this loss could be a good shot in the ass, because there is no way we are the best team in the NFL, far from it

Eh, everybody has offdays, and certainly in the 2nd half NE looks unstoppable after the turnovers. SF did go a bit prevent-y allowing Brady to get into rhythm.

Big upshot of this loss, is NE will now have to host Pittsburgh/Cincy, then go into Denver if they can win out

or how he has the most Passing TDs among rookie, or was involved in the 4th biggest win in NFL History, or beat rodgers, brady, romo, cutler etc, or has broken rookie records. and his OROTY win will wrap things up nicly

Peterson has 1313 yards over the last 8 games. Not only is that a record for an 8 game stretch, it's also more than every other RB except Lynch, Morris and Foster has for the season. Just unreal.

Can't wait til next sunday. Wilson looks amazing but he won't do that against the 49ers D. Look at earlier in the season, he comes off a huge win over the Pats only to put up 9 completions in a loss to the 49ers. Miami and St Louis also showed their offense up because they have athletic defenses. They put up a lot of points against two teams that had no playoff hopes and looked lost. Not to mention Pete Hypocrite running up the score. Lets be honest, in that game against Arizona, if any other team was dominating the score would be in the 30's because they would run down the clock. If the seahawks want to run over bad teams, fine, because their feet will hit the ground very hard when they play good teams. Even if they beat the niners, they ain't SB quality. I really hope Wilson trys to run against the niners because our linebackers are just as fast.

If u watched the hawks cards game u would have seen we put in our back up Rb early in the 3rd and he still got 100+ yards, we destroyed them with our back-ups, if u look at the stats in the first half of those games we scored 69 points and in the second half scored 49 points, a clear difference, the 30 points thing doesn't make sense as we already had that many points at half time what are we supposed to do kneel the ball all through the second half, if you are looking for the mercy rule watch some pee wee football, this is the pros and if ur crap ur gonna get destroyed, right now the Seahawks are the hottest team in the league and right now are Super Bowl quality

49ers @ Patriots notes

Good game to watch apart from the fact the Pats didn't win. Wink

FYI on the Delanie Walker TD catch which we were talking about in the chat box - I went and looked at the highlights and it was cover 3 as I thought (thought I saw the deep safety and the other corner dropped as well). Watching it in real time it looked like maybe the safety in the middle got their late after cheating to the other side but I don't think that happened. Looks like it was on Dennard - either got caught cheating to the middle (looking for INT) or didn't have a clue where he was supposed to be. Rolling Eyes

On the 2nd Crabtree TD we were in straight up man coverage and blitzed everyone else (cover 0) and Crabs McTree owned the DB who missed his tackle.

Overall the 9ers deserved it - Kaepernick played well.

If you think Arizona didn't give up then you didn't watch the game. Its not so much that I have a problem with running up a score, its more about the hypocrisy of Pete 'whats your deal' the cheat. If you think you are SB quality because you squeezed past a banged up Bears team and then beat two nobodies then you are a bit too positive. If you beat the 49ers, people will consider them the best but not after the 49ers beat the SB favourites on their own patch. We might as well argue that the Cowboys are the hootest team in the NFL right now but they actually beat some decent teams the last two weeks. Beating the Cards and Bills tells you nothing about your playoff hopes.

It's there fault for giving up then

Eh, its all well and good beating up on bad teams, but I can't see Seattle winning 3 straight on the road.

Remember the Bears completely dominated the easy teams too

Exactly, their highest points total before the two blowouts was 30. Surprisingly the 49ers have actually scored more points over the course of the season as well as conceding less (don't know if last night changed that. But think its funny Seattle fans are going overboard because of two easy wins. The 49ers had two games against the Jets and Bills in weeks 4 and 5 where they went 79-3 and the teams actually had spmething to play for. Seattle has one major statement win this season and that was against the Pats. Just hope the 49ers don't take their foot off the gas because they don't need to win on sunday.

Niner,
Not as key for us but could be difference between having to go to Lambeau or play them at home. Still a big game on Sunday. We beat them week 1 but a lot different in playoffs with a young QB i guess.

Ugly, ugly game in Tennessee. Sanchez with 2 ugly picks.

Notable so far for Tebow getting a whole (3 plays ) series.

Next year a big year for Locker. Flashes of potential. Got to get consistency though.

Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer
Anytime you can throw it up and give an injured Braylon Edwards a chance to make a play in double-coverage, you gotta do it.

Sums up that pick and Sanchez's career

The latest one is yet another Mark Sanchez special in the collection of worst passes I've ever seen. In a crucial situation in scoring range down 4 in the 2 min warning.

I'm sorry, theres no defending him. Just a crap QB.

The Jets force a 19 yard punt, get it back at their own 25.

Next play, low shotgun snap is dropped by Sanchez and the Titans recover. If ever a play summed up a game and team it was that.

Anyone who recorded this to watch tomorrow, burn the recording. One of the worst games I've ever watched.

Another fitting image is Rex Ryan muttering what the **** under his breath.

Well at least the Jets won't be in the playoffs.

I'll say Michael Vick ends up in New York next season

Vick is better than Sanchez, but if they want to cut out the turnovers maybe they should look elsewhere.
