yeah being safe is all that matterd after the year we had, my main beef was the penalty we conceeded was fair enough, however there were 3 tackles/impairings which were worse on city players and none given as a penalty ah well, if we can somehow keep hold of nicky maynard this summer and add a few i would think a top 10 would be a cert and a play off push could be on

Totally agree IF yous can keep Nicky Maynard your star player and a very consistent goal scorer.Buy a winger in the summer to produce chances for Maynard.Your defence seems good so I doubt they will buy any players but if they could loan some players from big clubs who need first team action Jay Emmanuel Thomas for example that could give them the extra burst to push for a play off place.

we seem to have a soft spot with Spurs, we got loaned Steve Caulker (future premier league star and could play for england) and danny rose this year too, David Moyes is symathetic to us due to being an ex player, so they could be a source of loanees too.

We got Albert Adomah from Barnet in the summer and he has turned out quality, only a handful of left backs have coped, on the other wing, we just signed Woolford from scunny and we have campbell-ryce, woolford is still unknown and Campbell-Ryce i'm not sure on.

Our defense will suffer from no Caulker next season, despite being 19 he lead our back line for most of the season and i'm convinced we would be struggling in the drop zone if not for him.

Even if Maynard does not stay we will have the strike partnership of Brett Pitman and Jon Stead (both knicked from under the nose of Blackpool) at championship level seems a very dangerous combo.

Rumours going around for us for summer transfers are that we will look to bring Jordan Spence in on a permenant transfer as his contract with west ham expires this summer as well as Billy Jones from Preston, we looked at signing him in January because of 6 months left but Preston aparantly wanted a high fee Millen wasn't willing to pay, so with Preston dropping to league 1 we could be signing him. These would give us new wing backs for next season, Louis Carey seems to be signing a new deal and we also have Damion Stewart and Liam Fontaine so not too bad that i suppose with Lewin Nyntanga as a 4th centre back.

David James seems to be using the clause in his contract for a 2nd year, which is only a good thing for us.

Our team next year looks like it could be:

.............................. James ................................
Spence.... Stewart ............ Fontaine ....... Jones
Adomah...... Elliott................ Cisse ....... Woolford/new signing
................. Maynard ........ Pitman/Stead
