We Know More Than Him

Just listening to Steve Bunce on Boxing ESPN Podcast.

Jesus, this guy self-promotes.

Whenever he talks about British boxers he has this "whoever is in the room is my man" vibe going on.

Pathetic.

He has NO humility.

But it's boxing, and i listen, watch, study all boxing.

Thoughts on Dunce... Whoops, I mean Steve Bunce?

Oh, and it's the second podcast he has done and he is calling it, and i quote, "the greatest podcast in the UK.''

Sigh.

I think he sees some of the guys we used to have in America.....McMahon jr types who are all big loud mouth types and wants to be the same..

I tend to be conflicted on Bunce, find his loudmouth, voice of boxing schtick tiresome in the extreme and think he talks nonsense half of the time, shouting it does not make it any less nonsensical it just means you have said it a lot louder than is really necessary.

However on the flip side of that you almost have to admire the fact that with all the waning interest in the sport and the fractured nature of the TV situation the bloke has always managed to find work. Damned shame though that the voice and face of boxing in this country is a frequently wrong, loudmouth. The real tragedy though is that Bunce has whored himself out like this because when you read his works away from his execrable Boxing Monthly column such as the ghost writing job he did on Watson’s book he is a capable and intelligent writer.

Not keen at all. As others have said, a loudmouth buffoon.

Can't take what he says seriously as he merely brown nosing whoever in front of fim or whatever he's being paid to promote.

He acts like he knows more than he does, especially about international boxing which is really irritating. Then again he'd call us keyboard warriors for sitting on here and criticising him which may well be the biggest issue with him. We are the hardcore fans he needs to keep onside, we are the ones who will be paying for his TV channel, we are the ones who will be expected to buy the magazines he writes for and we are the ones who are expected to download the podcast.

A case of biting the hands that feeds.

He knows he can get away with it.....

Because while you may hate the guy behind the counter at burger king.....you still want the burger..

If you don't like the guy at Burger King you go to McDonald's, if you don't like paying indirectly for Bunce via Boxnation you choose not to watch it.

I agree with the consensus, he is overbearing and has dug himself into a hole with his persona of being a load mouth etc that he cannot reform his approach as he will come across as fake which he does seem

Him and Steve Lillis are clowns and have to completely ignore them whenever they open their mouths

I like him.

Bunce is sooooo arrogant.

Bunce is one of those you can tolerate on the TV but if you seem him in the pub you'd end up walking away (or knocking him out).

Check out his latest ESPN Podcast. It's brutal when he speaks.

He can be annoying, patronising and kiss ass but he is a character and as such he is know outside the sport. I have a different opinion on him most days. But if it wasnt for him I dont think there would be as much boxing stuff out there. Pod casts etc
