Shocking Refereeing - Page 2 Empty Shocking Refereeing

First topic message reminder :

As a neutral I found Andre Joubert's performance absolutely ridiculous. He seemingly made up his mind who he was siding with from the off and basically gave Wales far more chances than they deserved. Why didn't he reach for the yellows at an earlier point? Shocking.

Wales were the better team, but I can't remember the last time I saw a more rubbish game. Joubert, it was all your fault.

Clancy was terrible today. Only half decent ref is walsh this season. The refs have definitely contributed to making the 6n a turgid affair...

Joubert is a complete joke. When your team benefits from his incompetence as Wales did at the weekend it is easy to keep quiet, but really! he is so bad he has stopped being funny. He was so one eyed in the England France game it was a joke (BUT NOT A FUNNY ONE)and in the World Cup final his Assistants refused to work with him after half time such was the extent that he ignored them when highlighting NZ infringements.

This guy needs to be taken off the panel today.

There are those who just play a guessing game at the scrum and dont even try watching it. All too often you see no bind and/or a player bringing the scrum down and the ref fails to see it even though hes standing right in front of it. I've also noticed the ARs seem to be less involved with scrums this season, they used to help the refs out more sometimes at their request but havnt seen much of it this season

Kudos to a Welshman for saying it. The consnsus on Saturday from all the Welsh I spoke to was the same, Joubert basicly emasculated one of our most potent weapons.

I couldn't believe Clancy in the England-Italy match totally ignoring what Owens had to say on the Italian "knock on" 10m out. With Owens (also an IRB referee) being in line with the action, able to see better than anyone, and 100% certain of what he saw, how can Clancy completely disregard him? What's the point in having referees running the touchline if they are there to be ignored? Clancy could not have seen clearly, given the position he was in.

As an aside, would it have been allowed for Clancy to carry on play as Itlay regained the ball, and on Italy scoring go to the video ref to ask if the try could be awarded? I can't remember if we ever got round to allowing video refs to rule on the preceeding phase of play to a try.

Then there is Joubert.

Joubert, Clancy and Barnes - 3 refereeing incompetents who should be dismissed immediately. Who might replace them though ?

We were all saying the same. So unfair on the scots, more so on both sets of fans.

The IRB really have to get their act together.
