Welcome to the 4th Addition of the OMPL.

After a long break I now bring you the latest and greatest prediction game in the history of 606v2! With a number of people either not commiting last year or choosing to miss putting predictions down for every week I have decided to come back with avengence.

As with every great game changes must be made in order to keep it relevant, fresh and keep its players coming back....so with that being said I have made some minor adjustments to the scoring rules so please read them & ensure you understand.

Scoring

• Predict the winner - 1 point
• Predict the method (KO*/Pts) - 1 point
• Predict Early / Late (for KO) or Unanimous / Split / Majority (for Pts) - 1 point
• Get all three above correct - 3 bonus points
• 10 points will be awarded for correctly predicting a draw.
• Wild Card – Each week you are to select two fights as your WILDCARDS (put a W next to your picks). This fight will score double for you.
• Upset of the Week – Each week I will decide an ‘Upset’ Fighter…If this fighter is picked by anyone and they win then there score for that fight will double.

Rules

• *TKO, DQ, TD or Retirement all count as KO
• I will list fights 1 - 10, this list will be definitive, when predicting please list fights in the same order.
• Any entries that are subsequently amended will be void.
• If a fight is cancelled, or if a fighter drops out and is replaced, that fight is then void.

Congratulations are in order for another new title winner of the OMPL. Trenchtownbaboon shall forever have his name written in the history books as he claims the title in Season 4. In what was the most nail biting conclusion in the history of the OMPL there were plenty of people in with a shout of winning heading into the final week. A mere 8 points separated the Top 4 in the end. Last years champion Tomfinneywalksonwater will struggle to hand over the title to the new king of the prediction league having ran him so close all season. With both finishing on 183 points it ended up going to the dreaded count back and with Trenchtownbaboon securing a score of 51 way back in Week 2 he takes the title due to having the highest weekly score. Well done to the following people bhb001, WHU_Champo_League, Boxxthis & Manos De Piedra who rounded out the top 6 this season. It is a cruel way to end the season but it is what makes the OMPL so exciting.

Almost looking forward to this. I did pants on most of it this week, but got Vinny Maddalone bang on, with wild card and it's the upset of the week as well. Wooooo!!! Wildcard babay!! Shame I had a shocking first 3 weeks, but week 4 has been a good 'un for Bellz84!!!

I can't believe Maddalone was the upset fighter, the Carmacks record looks weaker than the cans Wilder knocked over in his early days.

Forget his record, take a look at Carmack himself. Hes basically Butterbean.

Im over the hill. I should have retired after my second season. Wont be long now before Im completely washed up and reduced to rowleys tactic of picking everyone on the left.

WHU - Point's remain in tact mate, seems a little unfair I know but we could be waiting a while for a verdict on any NC decision and to be frank seems a little silly to go back and alter things further down the line....unless there is a resounding wish for me to do so by a few people I will leave it as it is...

I really wanted to go with Lee Purdy just can't afford to if I want to finish in the TOP 4 have to be sensible....

I have however put £10 on him at my bookies and do think he can pull off the upset so fingers crossed. I will also go on record and say that I have a nagging suspicion that Mr Peterson will once again fail a drug test..or he already has and it will be covered up for the time being!

(Those thoughts are that of my own and do not bare any relation to that of the thoughts of the 606v2 website)!

Congratulations to Manos who has won Predictor Of The Week this time around.

As we head into the final week of the season we find ourselves in one of the tightest races to the finish. 3 points seperate the Top 3 and with the new scoring system anyone in the top 16 may well fancy there chances of winning the title...or at least making the Top 4.
