cm punk time off
according to a wrestling website I frequent cm punk is not returning for another 7 months and creative aren't even considering him for any plans yet.
if this is true which it most likely isn't then 7 months is a long time to have off surely he will get bored after about 2 months off?. I can see him being back a lot sooner than the wrestling "geeks" think he will be. ok I understand wanting to heal up but that takes a month max maybe abit longer.
how long do you the people right here in the 606v2 universe think he will have off? I reckon about 3 months then he will get bored and want to come back

I think well see a summer slam return enough time to heal up and just in time to build a feud for surviver series.

I honestly hope he takes the full seven months off, while I'll miss seeing him on TV I think he really needs to rest and deserves time off...also can you imagine the pop after 7 months? It would be insane!
In all honesty though I'd probably say that Money In The Bank/Summerslam time seems like a likely time for him to come back.

No one needs seven months to 'rest'. That can't be true. I would see him back by payback, maybe not anything in ring till Summerslam though.

I wasn't saying he'd use the whole 7 months to rest but he does deserve time off and the longer he takes the bigger his come back will be...I think it's setting up a Mania rematch with Taker.

Yeah the payback ppv seems about right to me.
7 months is way way to long, that could turn a lot of fans away if he is gone for that long and they could end up missing his return.

Hope he doesn't return this year, he's the best thing in Wrestling and 7 months could prolong his career by about 3 years

Maybe if he does take 7 months off it'll show the WWE how important he actually is and they might realise that giving Cena most of the main events even though he wasn't even champion at the time was a sh*tty thing to do.

Re: cm punk time off
I think the minute Punk was given rest they realised how important he was. Star power of HHH, Lesnar and Taker all involved recently.
I honestly think he should take the time he needs to heal injuries and thats it. Three months, if adequate for said injuries, will do as much as seven months once its rest for rests sake.

I definately think with Punk the WWE will realise you don't know what you've got until it's gone. Punk will be watching with a wry smile on his face saying to himself 'yeah, i'm the man'.

Re: cm punk time off
Surprised by 7 months, Punk dosnt strike me as a guy who'd enjoy that much time off, only thing I can think is that its roughly the same time as HHH and Lesnar got off last year, so it may be a power play against the part timers

I can't see him taking that much time off in all honesty...he wrestled two months after fracturing his skull because of his love for the sport...I've be shocked if he isn't back by Summerslam.

Re: cm punk time off
I think summerslam is reasonable but Punk has been a work horse for wwe so some much needed time off is thoroughly deserved. He needs time to rest up, he was looking so banged up post rumble that he was having difficulty walking. It will be a shame to lose him from our screens for such a period of time but if this rest does prolong his career and ensures he returns better than ever it will be worth it.

He definitely deserves the time off; he needs to rest. I would imagine he will be back by Summerslam.

Oh I am, he's an ego maniac, if he takes 7 months off, even if its just 4 months off the WWE will realise how vital he is, he'll get his top of the shop billing and I can see him milking it

Re: cm punk time off
To be fair, I think that the bump he took diving onto the commentators table might have something to do with this. It looked like it screwed up his knee a little bit.
But 7 months looks like a long time for someone like Punk. He definitely deserves the break, but can't see him staying away that long. As said before, he's the sort of guy who wants to wrestle.
I'm going to say Payback will be his return.

Apparently, CM Punk's return date has been changed to the last Raw in May.
WWE is now listing Punk for the May 27 Raw TV in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Originally Punk's first show back was listed on WWE's touring schedule as June 3 Raw TV in Hartford, Conn.
