Novak and Rafa in the same half! In fact, Novak with a likely sequence of Wawrinka - Berdych - Nadal to even make the the final! Another tough draw.

Has Del Potro confirmed he will be playing?

Well he's not withdrawn yet and the tournament's only a few days away so I think he must be "in".

Quite a nice draw for Andy.

With Fed struggling for recent form and Del Po having been ill, that side of the draw may potentially open up quite nicely.

Could a first clay final be on the cards?

One match at a time HM. Knowing Murray on clay, he'll get beaten by Granollers picard

How do you lose the first set 6-0 and then win the next two 6-1 6-2? It makes no sense. Rosol is now one match away from the main draw......

Everyone's favourite Latvian is now in qualifying action.

Thats the post of the day, you did make me laugh notworthy

To be fair Granollers is a very good clay player and on his firing day he could well take down Murray. raspberry

Not sure TSJ. He's had quite a few days to rest it, so hopefully he'll be okay!

Looking at some of the first round matches...it's not exactly an easy ride in Masters tournaments these days, is it? Some really tough ones in there.

I'm a bit baffled to be honest.

He was doubtful for MC but was fit enough to win that. But then apparently he didn't train for about 12 days to rest the ankle and wasn't great at Madrid.

My feeling is that, post MC, he just needed a rest. He'd been on the road a long time and needed to recharge.

I was optimistic for Rome - unlike Madrid, he seems popular with the crowd there(!) - but it's a very tough draw he's been given.

But I don't think the ankle is an issue anymore.
