***(New Look) Saturday Tipping Comp - May 7th***

Hi All,

I thought we'd try something different this week for the Saturday Tipping Competition and have also opened it up to all our 'friends' on the original 606 too (hopefully my intrusion will be 'well received')
This week the format has changed ...... Basically everyone starts with a 'Betting Bank' of 100 Points, you have to make just Five selections and can put however much you want on each selection, win or each way, but you must invest your 100 Points. Your selections can be made from any one of this weeks nominated meetings which are ASCOT, LINGFIELD, HAYDOCK or PUNCHESTOWN, however ONE of your selections must be made in the weekends 'Feature Race', which this Saturday is the 3.25 Ascot (The Victoria Cup). The winner will be the person with the most points at the end of the day, with all investments being settled to bookmakers standard terms. Below are all the details you'll need -

THE MEETINGS TO MAKE YOUR SELECTION FROM

Ascot (6 Races 2.20 - 5.10)
Haydock (7 Races 2.00 - 5.20)
Lingfield (6 Races 2.10 - 4.55)
Punchestown (8 Races 2.30 - 6.45)

THE RULES

You Have 100 'Betting Points' To Invest
You Must Make FIVE SELECTIONS From The Nominated Meetings
One Selection Must Be In The Feature Race - Ascot 3.25
You Must Nominate Your 'Stake' On Each Selection - There is no minimum stake amount.
Your Selections Can Be Win or Each Way
Any Non Runners - Your Stake Will Go Onto The Favourite (Unless changed before the first race)
All Returns Will Be Settled At Standard Bookmakers Terms
The Winner Will Be The Person With The Most Points At The End Of The Day

Last weeks competition was won by our 606v2 regular (and friend of 606) Steveo77 who showed us a clean pair of heels winning in a 'Frankel' like canter. Can anybody topple our champion this weekend .... I'll post the results on both 606 and here Let the battle commence !!!

Unfortunately, Grahame, chewie has had to go........he'd only been here for a day and was appearing too frequently, making the forum not very work friendly for those looking in from the office.

Thanks for all the entries in this weekends 're-vamped' Saturday Tipping Competition. Some competitive action resulted in a battle at the top between two regulars resulting in the 'fairer sex' claiming the accolade of this this weeks champion. Well done to Solerina (aka suejoe) who landed the spoils by finding 12/1 winner Law Of The Range at Ascot. I thought Saturday was a particularly tough tipping day actually.
i liked the format of picking your best 5 horses, my only thought on changing it slightly would be to maybe have the picks limited to either the channel 4 races or the full cards from those televised venues.
