Anyone who grew up in the 90s will have watched this show on BBC2 after school. For me Carlton was the best character on the show, when my wife was watching Graham Norton recently this made up for having that clown on my TV.

Loved this show and still regard it Will Smiths finest work.

It's impossible not to rap along to the opening theme either, impossible!

Great show.

Watched them on Graham Norton and got the impression that Will and Carlton aren't on the best of terms. After they'd "jumped on it" Smith left him hanging whilst he shook hands and hugged everyone else.

May have just been me but Smith came across as a bit of a git them. Agree with the commenst about his son too. The kid can't really act and yet I can see him in several big budget pictures just because of who his dad is

There was a story where one of the ladies who played his aunt, said he was full of himself and thought he was above everyone else.

He is cocky, in a kind of funny way.

To me a tv show is a bit like a football team.

No actor is bigger than the show.
Even the main star.

Used to love this show. Geoffrey was the best character, loved his little put downs.

Uncle Phil - "Geoffrey, bring me my tools"
Geoffrey - "Do you mean your knife and fork sir?"

I once saw him in Homebase. Nice guy.

I remember the episode when Will was complaining about his neighbour and how he was going to do xyz to him....turned out to be Holyfield.

Mind you, I also remember Muhammed Ali in an episode of "Diff'rent Strokes"

My childhood fell pretty much smack bang in the middle of the Fresh Prince's run on the BBC around tea time. Along with The Simpsons (back when it was still actually funny) it was basically my whole television life!

Carlton was a dude - loved him!

Loved the first few series, but I think it went downhill when they changed the actress who played Aunt Vivian.

Never found it particularly funny but watched for a few seasons because of Hilary.
