What did I do to deserve this?

There are times when a person sits and thinks and other times when one just sits.

This weekend however, there will be a lot of sitting and watching. SuperSport has decided to spoil us this weekend, as of tomorrow morning this will be my schedule for the next 48 hours.

Nope, but then I haven't been on here much lately.

I have been thinking the same thing, I'm off tomorrow and saturday too, so the missus will really whip my butt sitting and watching 12 hours of rugby or so on saturday!!!

Sod's law says saturday will be the day a pipe bursts so you have to spend the whole day trying to fix that/ clear up the mess. Then when you finally do and sit down to watch the recorded rugby-fest... the rugby hating inlaws turn up for a surprise visit.

So who are you supporting in the T14 final: Kockott and Claassens or Botha and Rossow? Backies was immense in the semi-final. Such a dedicated professional.

Biltong, is today some sort of holiday/special day in SA? I only ask because our staff canteen at work had a "South African Theme Day" and I was wondering if there was a reason for the date.

Bobotie washed down with a glass of creaming soda was what the canteen considered "South African" fyi.

Pete, the 31st of May used to be Republic day, so they are a day early, however it has been scrapped.

We did have Africa day last week sometime, maybe it is that.

Talking about Bobotie, I had some for Lunch, left overs from last night.

That's why I tell people I don't go to weddings, my wife is going with her brother to a wedding next month, me I am staying put.

My problem is I have 2 NRL matches at ANZ (Fri & Sat), then Origin 1 on Wednesday... 3 games in 6 days. Oz v Oman in a couple of weeks. I may as well set up a bloody tent in the old brickpits. If I get home quick enough I can watch the replays. It's a hopeless situation!

Why would you record the Lions match?? Of all the games you listed surely the Lions one will be the most interesting.

ah F-it. I might miss about 20 mins of the Barbarians game. Think I'll leave after 60 mins if the Bunnies have it in the basket.

The problem is the Lions game is the odd one out, all the other games run consecutively, and the Lions game is inbetween two games, beside I am doing live blogging on the Rebels match, so have to watch that one live.


I also expect the Lions to thoroughly beat the Barbarians, and a game without two competitive teams aren't worth watching.

Get up early on Saturday, look around creatively for coverage, and you can also watch Fiji play Japan.

We don't get the Pacific Nations cup unfortunately.

Finally the nice weather has arrived here in New Jersey. 30°C and sun. Getting hotter too.
Glad the Rugby is mostly on early in the morn.

Did you use your special formula... or just a gut feeling?

To be honest, I hardly know the Welsh players' form and just assumed they will be far too skillful, fast and strong. Is it an open game or a more attritional forward tussle?

Breaker - this is a very young and inexperienced side, and they've put King at Openside Flanker...and he's never played OF.

I knew it wasn't an experienced Welsh team and thought it will be very close., and the Jaanese just scored a mauling try from a 5 meter line out.

Wales are very indisciplined and disorganised. The Japanese are just being clinical. They deserved their try.

Sounds as though they need an individual or two to step up, grab things by the scruff of the neck and assert some dominance.
Hopefully they will have a strong finish with their superior match fitness... or do they look slightly jaded and off their game?

The heat is getting to them 29 degrees celcius and humid.

They are having water breaks every twenty minutes to help.

The Japanese look fit enough, I doubt that will be a factor, it is more a case of Wales having to step up.

They aren't cohesive at the moment, their breakdown play so far has been their downfall.
