Released/Championship/National League/Academy Bidding

First topic message reminder :

This page is for bidding for previously released, Championship, National League and academy players who are not currently in the game.  In relation to previously released players this can be any player who has been at a team in the game in any of the previous five seasons.  In the event that I cannot remember that player being in the game and being released you will need to hunt for some evidence of this for me.  The maximum that I will charge for any player in these categories is £5 million, however if a bidding war ensues you may end up paying more.

I will leave all bids a minimum of 24 hours before answering them.

See above point please, more than happy to accept when your squad is in the limits - would do exactly the same for everyone else, as big issue about it a few seasons back (mainly my fault!!!) and not looking for a repeat.

Getting a bit silly again really, it's just a game and I am sure everyone is fed up with the constant bickering or disagreements. So how about stopping with the sarcasm or trying to be argumentative and just getting on with having adult discussions, or if you don't agree with something I say then don't comment back. There are 10 other people involved and I don't think that they want to see pettiness creep back into the game/discussions.

Position for everyone is that I wont consider bids until there is room in the squad for them, as limits of squad have been clearly set for a while.

You're not at 40 I've just counted. You have 42 in your senior squad and 21 in your academy, one of whom is over the age limits.

How about just playing the game properly and stop trying to 1. wind Chris up at every opportunity and 2. push things and be outside of the rules.

Ah ok, I see you updated your page at 14:08 after my initial response and before yours to show that 2 of the seniors you have listed are academy aged, meaning you have 23 in your academy now, meaning you need to lose some.

I'm happy to wait for SJE and what his call is, as like you say he is running the game now, but in all honesty, you are taking the urine mate.

Only thing I updated was the DOB's of a couple of youth players and I was doing this when you responded so missed it.

I've not had a chance to go through them all yet, senior squad is at 40.

Taking the urine by not updating ages of academy squad??? Hardly crime of the century.

No mate, by constantly trying to push things and going out of your way to try to wind certain other managers up.

All I've done is bid on players, I've not seen Chris comment on any other squad numbers since starting the game, if anything he seems to be trying to wind me up.

As I said I'm not fussed, just trying to improve Sarries a bit as they're falling behind.

I am doing the same rules for everyone, but no one else has the number of players you had in the game. The rules have been there for everyone to see and I'd have said the same for anyone over the limit, as I had mentioned this before on this page.

When I had an extra player in my academy a few seasons ago I was accused of cheating and going against the game rules and that I shouldn't be allowed to play any more. Just making sure that you don't have the same thing mentioned about you.

Happy for SJE to decide, as really not worth all the hassle, which doesn't happen with any other person in this game.

Chris runs this section so is entitled to reject bids for squad numbers. No issue with people being on the squad limits and bidding and then releasing but if your already over the limits no bids will be accepted.

There isn't a minimum mate?

For internationals I am looking at £5million, as they are at the top of those released (and still a bargain), but those that aren't internationally capped, or wouldnt be picked for national teams etc then they will be less - just trying to get a bit of structure so people know how much they need to bid on, generally:

Minimum £1m for academy players, those just moved to AP
Maximum £5m for international players who have been released

People in between the two e.g. guys like Cipriani will be in the middle value.

Just to make it easier for everyone so I don't reject anything and you can get them in your squad after 24hours.

Not to be picky, but that rule hasn't been in place since. So surely it is up to SJE?

I'm of the opinion all released players should go for the 5m fee that was put in in the new rules. I've rejected bids earlier for being under that (Gopperth rings a bell).
