Released/Championship/National League/Academy Bidding

First topic message reminder :

This page is for bidding for previously released, Championship, National League and academy players who are not currently in the game.  In relation to previously released players this can be any player who has been at a team in the game in any of the previous five seasons.  In the event that I cannot remember that player being in the game and being released you will need to hunt for some evidence of this for me.  The maximum that I will charge for any player in these categories is £5 million, however if a bidding war ensues you may end up paying more.

I will leave all bids a minimum of 24 hours before answering them.

And Wasps pack will be a lot better next year with the Italian tighthead, Davies and Gaskell signing, just need Varndell and Wade to stay fit so we can score some tries!

Will have a tough pack next year, putting a lot of money in the team - we've also signed a NZ 12, Leuiea or someone who was meant to be on the verge of an AB call up last year and he's been in Planet Rugby's team of the week quite a few times this year.

Leuia the Canes winger? He's only just started playing 12 hasn't he?

Yeah it is Alapati Leuia we've signed, we got him in January but aren't listing him in media releases when we announce our signings yet for some reason.

We signed Jackson today, been very impressed with our signings and with the backs we;ve got you can see a big shift in how we play as our 10/12 has killed us this year, but our backline will take some beating!

That's not a great half back combo, nice back 3 though

Simpson has been very good last 3-4 games, was crap at start of the season but Jackson will link up well with him I think - must have the biggest backrow in the league with AJ, Haskell and Hughes!

I've seen 2 of the last 4 and I thought he was poor in them. I'm not a bid fan of Simpson at all but we've been there before lol.

It'll be an interesting combo, Jackson is a little flaky also.

That 9/10 combo is one that if both hit form together could be scintillating, but neither are consistent and if they are both off form will be utter dross and you will get hammered as a result.

Totally agree Pete, they'd certainly need some front foot ball. Flakey + Flakey can sometimes work.

We should have a decent pack next year with Mullan Festucci (or something like that) Cittadi (or someone like that) Launch, Davies, AJ, Haskell and Hughes - only issue not really much of a lineout - back to old school Wasps!!!

Chris do you not think they will play Masi? Need to get over the gainline and experience. He was excellent against glos the other day. Miller is a confidence player and can be up and down. Been good this year

I'm not entirely sure Mat, just as long as we aren't playing Goode/Bell as the 10/12 combination I am happy.

THey are paying big money for the NZ'er, so he will definitely start at no12. A few rumours going round that we might be losing Varndell, so Miller might be signed as a wing replacement.

Masi definitely adds to the backline, strong carrier and one of only a few players who can crash through a defence - rest of our team is just speed (maybe not Goode).

I'd sell Varndell off , he's not worth it purely because he spends most of the season out , his games to try ratio is outstanding but he barely plays.

He's only been injured this season - last year was top joint try scorer and he's played more games than Wade this year

Guys when you are bidding for young players can you please add the team that you are buying them from as well. It makes it easier to keep track and make sure they are not already in the game.
