TACTICS
We are trialling a new look formation today. This is a serious game, we have a very strong line up with a lot of talent on offer and a good cup run would be nice. We recently drew against Brust Sauger and know what to expect.

DEFENSE
The back three are all Juve players with two representing Italy, they should be strong and hold a good position. The line should be just outside the 18 yard line. Benteke must not be allowed time on the ball, be strong and pressure him. Sanchez and Podolski should be quickly pressured, again zonally. We will have a flat back five, the two wing backs though allowed to break forward at will. Goretzka and Bender should look to shield the defense, don't go diving in, hold a good position not to allow easy passes through us. Higuain and Ibrahimovic should not help out defensively, stay high up preventing them getting men forward at will.


ATTACK
Goretzka and Bender should take it in turns getting forward to support the frontmen, the other staying back. The two wing backs should be full of energy, get forward and get balls into the box for our strikers. There will be plenty of cover so when we get the ball, plenty of freedom. Higuain should play in the finisher role, looking to be an out and out goalscorer whereas Ibrahimovic should dribble the ball, take on a man, try something spectacular. Both should communicate with each other and use clever movement to give the other space.

SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning bring on Menez and Schurrle for Fred and Higuain, move to a 5-4-1.
If drawing bring on Schurrle and Moutinho for Bender and Fred. Same formation, more attacking players.
If losing bring on Schurrle, Pastore and Menez for Caceres, Bender and Fred. Attacking 4-1-3-2.

1. Howedes picks up the main striker, leaving N'Koulou sitting spare to sweep up any other danger coming through, the tow must stay tight and keep the danger to a minimum

2. Sandro and Danilo defend strongly keeping the wingers to the outside and do not allow them to cut inside. Attack and support the wingers as much as possible by going to the outside and take the ball or defender away freeing up room for Sanchez and Fischer. Only one goes at a time

3. Clasie is the DM, he stops them dictating play and keeps the AM quiet, simple balls once possession is won

4. Maher is the driving force, moves the ball about and always follows his pass, late runs into the box unoticed

5, Wingers drive at fullbacks causing as much trouble as possible, get to bye line and cross in for Benteke, use our fullbacks if they come up and support, feed the ball down the line and cut inside.

6. Markovic - free role, sometimes as far up as Benteke strike partner, will run the socks off the DM and will provide the link between midfield and attack, can drift right and left so will be a real problem

7. Benteke is a monster, he is very powerful and will shrug off defenders on his way to goal, great in the air so leap early to out jump defenders, good skill as well so team this up with his power he is a real threat. Link play up if he cant go himself.

8. Defend as a team, attack as team, quick short passing and moving, always go looking for the ball and look to create for each other.

Defensive Gameplan:

Subotic to get physical with Lukaku and Vertonghen to cover/deal with a second striker or any AM that follows in.
Shaw and Carvajal to make sure they bust a gut to get themselves back in, give their wingers the avenue outside rather than a congested midfield.
Mascherano to sweep in front of the back 4, look to compress the area of them to get passes into. Also be aware to cover the FBs pushing up.
Gundogan to also be aware of the FBs and cover them.
Turan to get stuck into any deeper playmaker


Offensive Gameplan:

FBs to look to press forward when available and offer the overlap to the wingers
Gundogan to aim to be the link between the attack and defense and to pick out Turan and make runs off him.
Focal point of our attack is the wingers, get them on the ball, and use the overlap to make penetrating runs infield.
Turan to move towards the space, in a free role to avoid being picked up, try to get on the ball and get facing goal to work from there.
Sanogo to be the targetman today, make it stick when the ball comes into you and lay it off to one of the attacking players.

Team Talk: Our "Inexperienced" side of internationals and 1st team starters at major clubs will be playing today against Bratwurst in the cup, We're going to take the game to them they have 4 U21's expecting Sanogo won't be risked.

Butland: Come claim catches from crossing and look to sweep up balls in behind the defense

De Sciglio: Id expect Bernard will be playing against you today he's a pace merchant so keep tight to him and don't let him turn you, If he does use your pace to get back and block the cross in.

Varane: Your the more physical of our 2 CB's so stick to Negredo and give him a difficult time, he's a poacher so don't give him half a yard to get a shot away, throw your self at shots

Nastasic: Your be playing spare sweeping up any issues that Varane has with Negredo, Van Ginkel will most likely play off him so look to block the supply line into Negredo and make sure you pick up any run Van Ginkel makes.

Alaba: We're expecting Shaqiri to play RW he's mainly left footed so force him down the line and make him cross it. We want him to track back with you so go forwards and overlap El Shaarawy and give him the option.

Kondogbia: I want you to dominate the midfield get amongst them and give them no time on the ball, when sat infront of the defense mainly take on Van Ginkel or an cutting in Shaqiri, Look to go box to box and give Verratti an option for an easy pass

Verratti: Sit deep and dictate the play, look to play the ball out wide to wingers or into Draxler, follow the ball around give an option all the time. when defending try pick up Gundogan if comes forwards. Don't be afraid to go long to Lukaku

Front 3 note - Will all interchange

Muniain: Look to get at Shaw if he actually plays, use tricks and pace and whip the ball in, If get no joy against him swap with El Shaarawy/Draxler

Draxler: Your playing behind Lukaku so look to keep close and get onto his knock downs, look to watch for El Shaarawy/Muniain getting in behind their full backs, If Mascherano tries to pick you then change over with either winger

El Shaarawy: Your be up against Carvajal so look to take him on with tricks, cut inside and link up with Draxler/Lukaku, use your dribbling skills to get into space and look to create for Lukaku. If have no joy then change with Draxler/Muniain

Lukaku: Your in for a tough game today but you have the power to deal with Vertonghen/Subotic, Whilst they have your strength they don't possess your pace so look to back in and turn them, If we go long look to knock down to Draxler.

Right lads, lets kick off the cup with a bang, strong side so i expect a result.
GK, Simple, save what you have to save, be safe and no mistakes, look to retain possession when restarting play.
FBS, main defence, shut down there wings , force them wide and cut of support,frustrate them and always give yourself a yard, when attacking get wide and allow the wingers to cut in overlap and double team there full backs, defence first however.
CBs, Hummells be in command ,,take there main man and shut him down,mark him close and give him no time, Jones pickup the pieces, mark the 2nd striker if there is one, work as a team to shut down any attackers, be dominant and be tough, don’t give them anything.
DMs, Paulinho play box to box, burst forward and support thiago, look to take his marker away annd give him space, look to get into the box and cause problems, when defending sit along side Matic and pick up the pieces, Matic sit back and take out the main midfield threat, don’t give him room, make sure he is shut down, get tight and get rough, when on possession look to be in control and dictate the flow of the game.

W, Look to get inside we havnt a target man so look to support Aubameyang, use aubameyangs runs to either play him through, or use the space to get into yourself, take on your man and don’t give them a moments peace, look to get shots away when near the edge or inside the box. However look to get back and double team their wingers when defending.

AM, Look to cause trouble link up with anyone a round you, when Aubameyang makes a run same as the wingers, play him or use the space created, look to get free and run at the CBs, shoot around the box, when defending drop deeper and mark there DMs/CMs

ST, all about movement, constantly move, drag Bs out of position if they follow room has been created for others,if not expect a through ball, keep them guessing, look to get into goalscoring positions .
