Team Selection

  • Every team valued at 100m or below is available

  • Everybody bids for their preferred team

  • Maximum bid is 120m, Minimum 70m. Bids must also be at least TM value of the club

  • Any money left over from the 120m budget goes into your budget for a player draft

Results
Same as before

Voting
Same as before, however 1 good/bad point for each team required

TP Limit
Draft = no TP limit
Start of the league = £10m limit
Each week = £1m increase
End of season 1 = £19m TP limit (based on 10 teams, no cup weeks as we'd do that at the end)
End of season 2 = £28m

You could make it £12m > £21m > £30m if preferred?

This will change slightly depending on number of teams.

Injuries
AGREED AS 4 INJURIES PER WEEK

Do we want any form of transfers healing injuries?
NO

Whether to ditch U21 and nationality restrictions

I would only go to max of 28 player squads. Still leaves 24 players to make up an 18 man match day squad. More than enough
Got to put a minimum squad of 22 down just so CF can see it & not go below.

Id prefer 32 man squad, more to pick from but 28 would be fine. So Ill vote with the majority on that.

Maybe just ask people to use their common sense? We're all grown ups here.

Squad limits - minimum 22, maximum 30.

How does that look?

Which premier league teams want to be included in a cup competition to decide the winner?

Same question for the Championship teams I guess

How squads/teams are decided, and starting budgets = AGREED AS BIDDING ON TEAMS BETWEEN £70M AND £100M
How results are calculated = AGREED TO KEEP AS IT IS
Making sure feedback is actually useful and constructive = AGREED IN THIS THREAD
TP limit - yes or no = AGREED ON PAGE 5 OF THIS THREAD
Injuries = AGREED AS 4 INJURIES PER WEEK
Do we want any form of transfers healing injuries? = NO
Whether to ditch U21 and nationality restrictions = AGREED TO DITCH BOTH

But if only 4 are bothered, then it works perfectly.

I think CF can be ruled out and GSC isn't bothered, so that leaves you, Sod, Marky and Gregers

- Where will money come from in the league? -

get rid of the participation bonus and just have the voting and tactics bonus of £1.5m?

- How will we conduct the team draft?

I am happy to receive all the team bids. Should be easy to process. I can send mine to someone else before we start

- When will we conduct the team draft?

once the current season is done and dusted I guess.

- How and when will we conduct the player draft?

straight after teams announced. Say have a week to take stock and submit your draft bids

- Discussion on TPs allowed, TP limits etc

2 per week, with the limits determined yesterday

TP Limit
Draft = no TP limit
Start of the league = £10m limit
Each week = £1m increase
End of season 1 = £19m TP limit (based on 10 teams, no cup weeks as we'd do that at the end)
End of season 2 = £28m

You could make it £12m > £21m > £30m if preferred?

If no bonus at all, why bother voting? There's no penalty for not doing so otherwise.

And if no bonus, where do we get our money from? Players on TM will never get into the league!

CORRECTION!!!

You can bid on any team £100m or below
You get £120m budget and can bid for the team up to the £120m. Any cash you have left, you keep for the player draft, upto a maximum of £50m (essentially meaning a minimum bid of £70m)

I like the new rules and regulations, I think it works well. But I am going to finish this season then step down from management for a bit. Same will happen at the end of Azzy's Europa League, finish the season then stop.

Bit of a break will do me good, then when someone quits in the coming weeks/months i'll swoop back in.

And I could bid £120m on Villa if I wanted?

Yep. You can bid on any team £100m or below and you cna bid anywhere between £70m and £120m

Obviously, if you do bid £120m, you have no cash left for the player draft.

And i think you have to retain some form of cash coming into the league other than lawyers

Afro - let's say I want Villa. Can I bid £70m for them? Or does the bid have to be at least their TM value?

Correct, I believe.

So say I bid on - Brighton. They are worth 18.5m on TM. I bid £20m & win. That would leave me with £100m budget but Im only allowed to use £50m on draft players.

Nope, the most you can have in your budget after team drafts is £50m. So it essentially means you might as well bid £70m for them.

Azzy - see my reply to Sod. It wasn't something we actually discussed yesterday, so lets put it out for discussion....

Budget = £120m
Teams available = any up to £100m in TM value
Bid = minimum of £70m, maximum of £120m

Question remains - does the bid have to at least equal the team's TM value? If not, Villa could get scooped up for £70m giving the manager £50m to spend at the player draft, with a squad worth £30m more than they paid.

Im not keen on that as everyone will just go for high value clubs thus less draft & less transfers.
If thats the rule thats the rule, I will make my team play Tika Taka Pep football.

Zebs, the maximum value side you can bid on is £100m, so Villa. You can't bid on anyone worth more than £100m.

I like the fact that we have no TP limit in the player draft.

Purpose of it is to stop people from just getting a crappy team and building an entirely new squad. We want to keep some element to having players you won't want.

Look at the list of teams £100m or below. Noone is going to get a world beating team quickly.

You can only bid on teams with a TM value of £100m or less. As I said, have a look at the list
