It might be interesting to see a competition (which few care about) in which its earliest stages are generally more interesting than its final ones.

Plus it will help free up the calendar.

Great idea - the LV games are a similar standard of intensity too.

I very much doubt the coaches and clubs would agree with this suggestion. Friendlies slowly increase in intensity, but allow for a lot of people to get game time (ie Leicester today had 3 hookers and 3 scrum halves sharing duties).

Replace these with LV matches and they would just start pre-season earlier. Of if we did play LV matches then we could expand the league and play even more AP matches during the IW periods.
