Bill McLaren would have been 90 today.   Will we ever see his like again ? Doubt it amongst the current lot !

Wow, 90!..As you say, he was unique. I think Murray Walker is also 90 this year too.

I loved listening to Bill McLaren, not sure whether it was his thick accent or his voice, but it sounded like poetry when he described players running down a try.

He was a passionate rugby man.

My favourite overseas commentstor of all time.

Some of these commentators are a boring to listen to.

" ...he's all flying legs and arms like an enraged octopus.."
