Decent side from Newcastle but Clermont a juggernaut at home and would take a great side to win there.

What happens with the 5 players involved in this one who played at the weekend for NZ/Aus? Do they go out of the team and get replaced by bench players and then just 3 players on the bench - not sure?

Just predict on the line up thats up Chris taking anything you want to into account (fatigue etc). Falcons will have points docked for ineligible players when i go to do the tables

Clermont Auvergne 31 - 25 Newcaste Falcons

Classic game between the two. Think Falcons are a worthy battle up front, but come unglued a little in the half backs. Back line again I'd have ASM edging with the momentum produced off their halfbacks.

Clermont 27-22 Falcons

Crazy front 5 from Clermont that would do well against any team on here. Falcons compete with a sexy backrow but Clermont at home are a different beast.

Clermont 38 - 21 Falcons
Falcons do have a lot of WC players on display, which will keep the scores closer than they could have been considering 5 players were named in Bledisloe Cup teams at the weekend. Issues for Falcons with inexperience of Dawidak and I'm not sure whether they get a try scoring threat from 10, 12, 13 or 15 as a combination. But Two wings are serious threats. Clermont too strong here though.
