Thrush cleared

Hurricanes lock Jeremy Thrush has been cleared on a charge of foul play by a SANZAR Judicial hearing in Wellington.
Thrush had been cited for a late and dangerous charge on Highlanders reserve hooker Jason Rutledge during a Super Rugby match in Invercargill last Friday.
SANZAR Judicial Officer, Nick Davidson QC, considered the matter in terms of Law 10.4 (e) playing the player without the ball.
Davidson determined that Thrush had not breached Law 10.4 (e), finding that Thrush's intention was to tackle a player who was legitimately about to receive the ball.
The citing was therefore not upheld.

With no arms! Sounds like he was lucky. That guy he shoulder charged to the floor was down a long time on the deck.

As a lock forward, it's part of your job to make yourself into a real irritation. However, I'm concerned such incidents could lead to a nasty outbreak across rugby...

When I first saw it I didn't think there was anything in it. On slow mo I saw the no arms but still not that bad. 1 week seemed about right. - Canes fan
