Ren & Stimpy

This was on TV last night (Viva I think) so I watched a bit of it. I cant believe how weird and twisted this cartoon actually was! I remember watching it as a kid, Im suprised it didnt give me nightmares! I mean, what was it actually about and what was the point of it. I must admit though, I found myself that fascinated by the strangeness of it that I watched it all.

Did anybody eklse watch this as a kid? Did it corrupt your life?

Ren and Stimpy was brilliant but the first series was soooooooooooo out there I believe the guy who wrote it was ousted for someone slight less mental. My favourite episodes are the one where Ren and Stimpy adopt a psychopath called Kowalski and the Muddy Mudskipper episode

Stimpy - "I wanna see Muddy Mudskipper"
Ren - "Muddy Mudskipper's a cartoooooon. He's not flesh and blood like we!"

i watched it and thought it was weird then, not seen it since

Did anyone every watch the animated show called "The Tick"? Used to love that too.

Earthworm Jim was quality, queen slugforabutt and Professor Monkey for a head, with his sidekick monkey professor for a head...

Space Ghost Coast to Coast was another good 'alternative' tv show that was on Cartoon Network. At the time, CN had a great line up of shows in the evening around 10pm. Johnny Bravo, Ed Edd & Eddy, Dexter's Lab (not so much), Space Ghost etc.

I can also highly recommend the Rottentrolls
