Rugby League to lose it's Man of Steel to Union ?
This is not confirmed by any means but i have been told by three different people ( two who work in the game and one who writes for popular RL paper ) that Danny Brough is close to switching codes and joining a as yet unnamed Premiership Rugby Union club .
Given his complete lack of opportunity to play for England at international level in League i personally wouldn't blame him for giving it a go in Union , however i think it would be massive loss to our game if it did happen .
What do you think ?

Agreed, I watched the Wigan v Hudds highlights on the BBC Super League show last week and couldn't help think what could he have done in an England shirt. With respect to Chase & Widdop who IMO are quality players I would pick Brough ahead of them every day of the week and twice on a Sunday.
I do think Super League is very good at covering these losses inc. Burgess however yes he would be a big loss.
I do not blame any player for moving on as I've said before if someone offered me more money/greater security (particularly for less work!) I would be showing my employer a clean pair of heels. If he does go all I ask is that it is done so professionally and there are no articles saying how much the game means, in for the long run etc etc................. before leaving 2 weeks later.

While I would be disappointed to lose another quality talent from Super League if this does happen, if it can go ahead before we play them on Friday that would be great
