Hulk Hogan WWE return confirmed.
TMZ and several dirtsheets are confirming that Hulk Hogan will be making his first WWE TV appearance in over 6 years this Monday night, after the Elimination Chamber PPV.
Whats every ones thoughts on this? Apparently the contract see's him be involved in Mania in some manner, although its pretty likely a match is out of the question given his current fitness and health issues.

Re: Hulk Hogan WWE return confirmed.
I believe he is being booked as the host of wrestlemania.
My thoughts on it are it's great for wrestling as he is and always will be the biggest name in wrestling.
I am also looking forward to all the people who will sing his praises who once slated him in TNA. The rob van dam effect.

His red and yellow boots have not touched a mat since December 2007, but that will change this Monday night.
Okay then.

Re: Hulk Hogan WWE return confirmed.
I don't think anyone can deny that Hogan is worth more in WWE than TNA given WWE's bigger platform will give Hogan a chance to put more eyeballs on the product, something he tried and failed to do for an extended in TNA, plus WWE have the financial capacity to accommodate Hogan as well as the clout to keep him on his best behaviour, again something it was proved TNA didn't.
I'm surprised WWE haven't advertised earlier, rumours have been swirling for about a month that this was a done deal and that he and 'Taker would be back the night of the network launch, if WWE had hyped his return earlier they could have popped a rating for the network launch and maybe attracted a few more buys as a result, I'm guessing they're going to rely on social media to do the job for them.
All of that said from a personal viewpoint, I have no desire to see Hogan in WWE.

Apparently Jinder Mahal is going to take the streak beating him in record time with a drop toe hold as a finisher.

Presumably any time is a record time for beating 'Taker at Mania?
Ps If this happens I mark out

I think (think being the key word here) that Sheamus holds the WM record. King Kong Bundy may well disagree mind.
I'm sure that's what Ranj meant? We may never know..

Yeah that's what I meant. Didn't know if the 18 seconds was for a world title or for mania though.
In an ideal world I'd like John Cena's father to take the streak. Closing out Wrestlemania and as the show goes off air he sprinkles ashes from Undertakers urn over his own head whilst standing on the second turnbuckle.

All of this is my view too. It does make sense to have him at Wrestlemania XNOSTALGIA (I think thats the roman numerals for 30), but if he has a lasting impact on the weekly show it'll be annoying. Least he wont get to do any booking in WWE.

Re: Hulk Hogan WWE return confirmed.
I've just committed to watching Raw this Monday, and Elimination Chamber, and probably a Wrestlemania buy in the vag, when I haven't watched in almost a year.
I'd say that's job done by WWE.

Just interested in what he's going to do - so yes.
I feel like everything else is very predictable. We have no idea what Hogan's role will be.
It's a rogue element.

Doesnt Kane hold the record for beating Chavo Guerrero in 9 seconds?

So with Hogan back, and Sting looking likely to sign, could there be more face painting which will see the return of the legend that is Pauline?

as someone already said it will be good to hear RA at Wrestlemania again
and Hogan, as he is arguably the biggest name in professional wrestling ever, will draw money. by advertising him for RAW the ratings will soar

Unless he is coming back to put someone like Roman Reigns over, I really don't care. Never liked him.

Re: Hulk Hogan WWE return confirmed.
Hogan for his name value and the whole nostalgia act will always have a place in WWE but thats it, WWE have the ability to give him the hype and coverage his name deserves but they'll also only use him enough, they won't allow him to call the shots or let him use their shows as an ego trip, thats the difference from TNA, Hogan will be a special attraction not the only attraction

Re: Hulk Hogan WWE return confirmed.
While I have no desire to see him actually have a match, and lets face it no one does. Hogan returning is big business, he's returning home. Let him have his who is the "Real American" moment with the Real Americans, seems likely seeing as Swagger hit a big boot and leg drop on Big E last night. Let him say "brother" 50 times in a promo, and hell let him have his moment. I vaguely remember hearing somewhere WWE have thought about inducting his match at Mania with Mr T in that tag match into the Hall Of Fame in a new legendary matches section too.
So long as Brooke Hogan or his other kid whatever his name is are nowhere near this I have no problem.
