The Cowboys only give up those picks on the provision of McClain making the team for 5 games and being on the 46 man gameday roster for 3 games. The Cowboys also have to finish with a better record then the Ravens. That's to get the Boys' 7th rounder.
If McClain pays 50% of defensive snaps it becomes a 6th rounder. Obviously the contract has no guarantees.
While I think it's bizarre and stupid to trade for a two down linebacker whose desire to play the game is highly questionable. It's structured somewhat well at least.

They have given up next to nothing for McClain. I see no problem whatsoever.

He deserves a chance to go and win somewhere, on the downswing of his career.
I'd say the Pats would be a good place, but they don't like giving Brady good people to throw to.

Lebron James could be moving to Cleveland. Is there enough news room there for both him and Johnny Manziel? Will Lebron be a social distraction for Manziel?
Also the Browns need a WR with Josh Gordon gone to pot. Andre Johnson?

Yes, IMO the other packages aren't as good value for money. The season plus package lasts until July 31st.
This year will be my fourth season.

Gamepass is excellent value for money I find.
I can go back and watch games during the week if I've missed them and it also means I don't have to stay up for the Sunday and Monday night games. I just have to avoid spoilers...
Plus you get access to NFL Network and you can go through their archive to watch shows like America's Game and A Football Life.

Its fab. This year will be year 3 for me and its really useful considering I'm not going to get Sky.
I don't use it much over the off season even though i'm on the full subscription, but it is useful around the Draft

I usually follow Twitter up until kick off then it's the Jets or Red Zone. Sky's coverage pales in comparison and the only thing I dislike about GamePass is when the Jets are on Sky and I can't watch it properly.

Lanes 4 game suspension announced. Not overly worried, Barbres a solid backup. Worse run blocker but better pass blocker. Long term is a bigger worry, puts him on a more stringent list.

Just another wee mention about Gamepass - I've had it the last 2 years and will be getting it again this year. I ditched Sky when I got it cos NFL was all I was really watching on Sky Sports and I haven't looked back. I love that I can watch every Redskins game.... or any others that I want given that we often end up too painful to watch!
I watch on the iPad BTW.

Player smokes some weed, banned 4 games, then a season, then indefinitely.
Player punches his wife so hard that she was knocked out, banned 2 games.
Seems fair.

Eh, not worth the effort arguing over length of bans, but if you get caught a 2nd time you deserve a season on stupidity alone.

It's back! Well almost anyway...
Hall Of Fame game Bills v Giants. Is anyone going to watch? Is anyone interested?
I don't really get back into it until there is a full fixture of preseason games.

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread V
In news that I'm sure will deeply shock anyone that's vaguely familiar with NFL contract stories, the Bengals are highly unlikely to actually pay Andy Dalton $115m over the next 6 years. It's basically a 2 yr/$25m deal with a series of one year options until 2020, that can't even break $100m unless he actually wins some playoff games.Olly wrote:6 year, 115m deal for Dalton as Cincinnati tie themselves to mediocrity for half a decade

Some interesting preseason games (1st quarters) tonight. The Harbaugh Bowl, a Super Bowl rematch and the Vick and Geno show in New York. The Patriots have also decided to put Ryan Mallett in the shop window by giving him a start. No sure who any potential buyers would be?

I'd very much doubt we're putting him up for a trade considering Garappolo isn't anywhere near being a viable backup yet.mikeygnfl wrote:Some interesting preseason games (1st quarters) tonight. We're giving Brady the night off and Mallett some time with the first team to get some reps in, so if god forbid the worst did happen, he'd have some sort of chemistry built
