Best WWE Wrestler / Commentator

Ok before you vote, let me explain what I mean. I am talking about an active wrestler who spent time on the commentary table in order to recover from injusries etc, hence why Im not including JBL or Jerry Lawler. They are retired wrestlers turned commentators even if they sporadically get back in the ring. Which one do you think is the best? Im not going to count William Regal as he is not in the ring enough to be considered an active wrestler.

I have put down the ones I can think of, but if I have missed one, please let me know and I will add them.

I dont remember that. When did he commentate? It cant be one offs, it has to be 1 month minimum.

Meh, he sucked anyways. As did Roddy Piper! I'm surprised he's got any votes. Some guys just can't transfer the promo skills to the booth. One of the early promo kings, Superstar Billy Graham, was a great talker but stick a headset on him and all you got was, "Brother, lemme tell you something brother. Don Muraco, he's a changed man, brother. Brother I tell you now my brother in the ring is gonna take some gold brother!" He didn't last long in that role.

Owen Hart was great when he broke his ankle, thought he was destined to be the next big heel commentstor when his time in the ring came to an end.

I was never the biggest fan of Savage or Piper in the booth but when Ventura left it was a huge void that had to be filled.

Perfect was excellent, possibly the best, he slotted in brilliantly and bounced off McMahon as if it was second nature

Ventura would certainly get my vote if this poll was just wrestler turned commentator.
Savage.. he's was arguably better on, oh what was that program with Todd Pettengill? Mania? They had good chemistry on that.

I always felt Piper had trouble staying in character. He be commentating, and then suddenly remember he was Roddy Piper and kinda squark, do that manic laugh/breathe or say something Piper-esque.

What about Tito Santana and the Spanish Announce Table?!

Savage should always be remembered for his historic partnership with Monsoon and Art Donavan
