My advice would be to wait unless you can get a really good deal.....think how you will feel if you lawyer him now and then someone snaps him up next season? He is worth to you more as a bargaining chip at this point.

I am still interested in De Rossi, though not as much. Just bear it in mind if you do fancy getting rid.

The idea of not accepting a lawyer to stop someone else from buying him later doesn't really make sense to me.

Why would you not sell Son for £14m and then spend that on someone better who is worth £14m on TM? You then would have either a better £14m bargaining chip, or someone worth a c£15-16m lawyer instead.

Someone might well snap Son up for £12m, but I don't see the problem for you as you now will have better anyway.

I could understand it if you had someone like Messi or Ronaldo, but Son and Tadic are both easily replaced from TPs.

Or am I missing something?

It is not about selling Son/Tadic to lawyers, it is about timing of it.

All the above you have said is true but it comes down to this - Tactically, would it not be better to sell that person next season for lawyers (risk I know if they don't come up) and stop that player from being snapped up by others? Yes you may have a better player, but it is one slightly lesser player that you will have to face (in this case your defense)

I would rather have 14m and not have Son score against me, than 14m and he does.

But someone will just spend the £12m/£14m  on a different player of the same or higher standard.

I think you are choosing between

1) having a definate £14m in the bank (or a better player) and risking Son scoring against you;
2) risking not having £14m and having Son (instead of a better player), and still risking someone else equivalent Son's standard scoring against you.

To me, you are risking limiting your own improvement and gaining nothing from it.

I agree with afro.

The more lawyers you accept, the more money you make. There's a couple of attacking players I'm looking at in that sort of price bracket.

Twist is right in the sense of each to their own.

My preferred approach is what treb's says. The teams that do well are those that accept as many lawyers as possible.

GSC as an example, is ruthless and accepts most lawyers offer, and then uses the money to move forward - he is close to winning the league! I do the same - I won the league last season.

It is only where I feel a TM value is likely to go up, or in the case of an older player who would cost more than his lawyer value to replace like for like, that I don't accept

I don't get why Twist wouldn't sell in all honestly all your doing is given people a reason to go buy a better player. If you sell Son to someone your gunna limit there money giving you a better chance at a player they may want...

The above sounded really pissy didn't it! Sorry, long day and not finished yet.

Happy to negotiate but it won't be 20mil or involve Son. Depends how much you want money for other targets. I will go to around his TM area.

Tbh I haven't got time for a big search on TM as snowed under. So just wanted a quick easy buy.

Perfectly reasonable. I might come back to you with an offer of 17m.

I really just need to sit down and sort out what's what with my squad. I need a CM, CB, RB cover and a ST. Lot to get with only 33m.....thats when we get sponsorship.

To be honest, I'm not really in the mood yet Laugh

Multi buys are always good!

Son being a goal scorer and on form, will be worth around 20m. So de rossi and 7m, I might take.

I need to come up with a suitable TP replacement. I'm online tonight so I can thrash something out with you.

Ok so Son = De Rossi + £££ (think we agree he gives more to a team than de rossi, with his goals)

So what's the £££ and I will look for TPs tonight.

I only want Wilson, Di Natale I noticed was not received very well here. Despite out scoring any striker here in the last 10 years.

Januzaj is going for cash I want to but my own players. Gsc has bid 10m

Would you be interested in 11m and Rabiot for De Rossi?

Gives you a huge transfer kitty for that marque signing you're after and gives you a certainly decent back up.

Hello mate,

Just to let you know I have added a few more players, so we might be able to come to a deal for de Rossi. Or, if you are still interested in Son, I will be looking to bring in TP's next week so cash would be handy. But that deal will need to be next week.

Lots of options. You know i like a deal. Look over my new squad and see what takes your fancy.

Think I will wait until next week mate. Lots of bargains on TM so you might be able to find yourself a better deal there when you get another two TP's.

Maybe. I'm more leaning towards keeping Mirallas ahead of Pelle as with style I want to play Mirallas would start whereas Pelle would be behind Kruse.

So I would be more inclined to accept a cash offer than part ex.

It's very rare for me to play a front two in a style to suit Pelle and Kruse.

Having given it some thought, I'm going to say no to a part ex unless you are willing to offer an unexpected amount of cash.

I'll sell him for £11.5m cash

So looks like it is some sort of player swap mate.

Dante + de Rossi = Son + Terry + Diame as a starting point.

Ok I will do 2 and 2

So pelle and Dante = Son and Terry.

Would like to get De Rossi involved as well but I could only offer Honda in a 3 and 3 deal. Might stretch to Diame as well, if some cash was offered your end.

For just Son, I wouldnt do Pelle and cash.....as he would only be my third choice striker.

How about

Pelle + Dante + De Rossi + 2m = Son + Terry + Honda + Diame.

That's the deal I really want. Son and Honda are your two attacking wingers then.

To jump in on this...

How about Pepe and your choice of Suarez, Rabiot or Balde Diao & 8m
For Dante and De Rossi
