Daniel Bryan’s music cues up and the crowd pops, but Stephanie McMahon ends up trolling them and does a YES chant down the ramp. She thanks the fans for the “STEPH” chants, and she announces Brock Lesnar will be awarded a newly designed WWE Championship. Stephanie wishes John Cena a speedy recovery, then she says the biggest loser was Brie Bella and she now knows not to mess with The Authority. She thanks Triple H for being by her side and faithful to her, unlike Daniel Bryan who cheated because he found out who Brie really was.

Stephanie introduces Nikki, who knows Brie more than anyone, and Nikki comes out and says Brie betrayed her, not the other way around. She says it was always supposed to be the Bella Twins, but Brie was always out for herself even when she tried looking out for her. Nikki says it’s always been about Brie, and she even tried beating her down the aisle, but Brie lost since she married Daniel Bryan, a little troll. Stephanie talks about how she beat Brie easily, and Nikki says she is heartbroken over the whole thing, and she could say she lost a sister, but she never had one. Nikki says it feels good to be on her own now, then Brie comes out and asks why Nikki is doing this, because she is destroying their family. Brie says she could forgive her for last night, but Nikki looks surprised and slaps her, saying she will never forgive Brie, then Brie takes off backstage crying.

The Wyatt Family vs Big Show & Mark Henry

Henry hits Harper in the corner and Show follows with a scoop slam, then he punches Harper in the corner and tries to whip him. Harper catches him with an elbow but Show kicks him in the face, then he elbows Rowan on the apron before throwing Harper on the floor. We get back from a break to see Rowan kicking Show in the corner, then Harper chokes him with his boot, and uppercuts Show before chopping him. Rowan superkicks Show and gets a near fall, then Show comes back with a side suplex before Rowan stops him with a diving clothesline. Rowan scoop slams him but Show knocks him down and finally tags out, then Henry connects with some clotheslines before Harper knocks him down. Show comes back in and knocks Harper out, then he knocks Rowan out and Henry hits a World’s Strongest Slam for the win.

Winners – Big Show & Mark Henry

The Miz is backstage with Dolph Ziggler and Ric Flair talking about how he’s getting his rematch tonight, and the A-lister is getting back his title. Dolph laughs at Miz’s smug attitude, and he says the title is his, and Miz is just an A-hole, which makes Flair laugh.

Seth Rollins tells Renee Young he stood his ground and proved himself last night, and he’s the future of of WWE. Dean Ambrose comes up behind him and dumps a bucket of ice water on him, then brawls with him on the ground until they are separated. We get back from a break to see Rollins rushing into Triple H’s office, and he tells them this needs to stop now. He says he warned them about Ambrose, and HHH says he saw what happened, and they will have a rematch tonight. He says he’s letting the fans decide the stipulation tonight, because it will be on them when Ambrose loses and Rollins takes him out for good.

Natalya vs Paige

Paige tells the crowd she respects and loves AJ Lee, so she is dedicating tonight’s match to her. Paige ties up with Nattie and gets caught with an elbow, then Nattie sweeps her legs and goes for a backslide. Paige blocks it and kicks her in the head, then she crawls onto Nattie and headbutts her. AJ comes out and skips to the ring, then Nattie uses the distraction to roll Paige up for the win. AJ tells Paige she respects and loves her, despite what has happened, and she wants to shake her hand, then she chases Paige off and smiles at her.

Winner – Natalya

The Authority comes out for Brock Lesnar‘s championship presentation, and Triple H puts over Summerslam before unveiling the new WWE World Heavyweight title. He brings Brock Lesnar (and Paul Heyman) to the ring, and they shake hands and pose for a photo opportunity before Heyman starts to gloat. Heyman announces Brock formally to the crowd as their new champion, and he says John Cena isn’t there tonight. He says Cena can’t be here because Brock conquered him last night, and they have to give credit to Cena for not quitting, but he suffered last night and he finally got it. Heyman says people love Cena because he took a beating and continued to come back, and he really does not give up. Heyman puts him over and says if he had time he would even make Cena a Heyman Guy, and he would be considered the best champion ever… if Brock wasn’t around. He says Brock doesn’t care about Cena’s credibility because it died at Brock’s hands, just like The Undertaker was. He says the same fate awaits anyone foolish enough to challenge Brock, and they live by the motto of ‘eat, sleep, suplex, repeat’ and ‘eat, sleep, conquer… John Cena.’

Intercontinental Championship
The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler (c)

Dolph applies a headlock but Miz breaks it, then he kicks him in the knee and throws him into the ringpost as we cut to a break. We get back to see Dolph get a near fall rollup, then he connects with a DDT for another near fall. He tweaks his knee off the DDT so Miz puts him in the Figure Four, but Dolph is able to crawl and make it to the ropes. Dolph rolls outside and Miz goes after him, but Dolph snaps his head on the ropes and slams him on the apron. Dolph kicks him a few times but Miz knocks him off the apron, not realizing Dolph never reentered the ring so the ref counts him out. Miz gets peed and slams Dolph into the barricade and apron, then he throws him in the ring but Dolph drops him with a Zig Zag and leaves.

Winner (by countout) – Dolph Ziggler

Jack Swagger joins Renee Young to talk about his Summerslam match with Rusev, and Swagger says he had a great opportunity, but failed. He wanted to defend his country, and “We The People” means he doesn’t quit, and his back is against the wall but he will continue to fight on.

Jack Swagger vs Cesaro

Cesaro targets Swagger’s ribs and hits him a few times, then he throws him across the ring and kicks him. Swagger hits him back but Cesaro applies an abdominal stretch, then he elbows him but Swagger breaks it with a hip toss and charges the corner. Cesaro knees him and sends him to the corner, but Swagger knees him back and hits a Swagger Bomb for two. Cesaro continues to knee him in the ribs and suplexes him on the ropes, then he tries to kick him but Swagger blocks it and grabs his foot. He applies a Patriot Lock over the ropes but Cesaro breaks free, then Swagger goes to reapply the hold but Cesaro avoids it and hits a Neutralizer for the win.

Winner – Cesaro

Bo Dallas comes out and says 318 million Americans were let down by Swagger at Summerslam, and he lost again tonight, along with losing his manager. He says Swagger lost his respect and dignity, and all he has to do is BO-LIEVE.

Roman Reigns, Sheamus & Rob Van Dam vs Randy Orton & Rybaxel

Sheamus gets attacked by Rybaxel and Orton before he hits Orton with a rolling senton, then RVD follows with Rolling Thunder before Orton bails. We get back from a break to see Sheamus hit Ryback with Ten Beats, then Axel kicks him in the corner before Orton sends Sheamus over the ropes. He throws Sheamus into the timekeeper’s area, then he slams him on the commentary table before he tags Ryback in. Ryback (who is getting a big hometown pop) repeatedly shoulder tackles Sheamus and slams him down, then he gets caught offguard and Sheamus slams him down. Reigns gets the hot tag and he clotheslines Axel a few times, then he sets him on the ropes and hits an apron kick. Reigns connects with a Superman punch, then he Superman punches Ryback on the apron and goes for a spear. Orton runs in and hits a backbreaker, then Reigns tags RVD, who legsweeps Axel and hits a split-legged moonsault. Sheamus and Orton get involved and hit their finishers before Reigns hits a spear, then Axel throws him into the ringpost but RVD spin kicks him and hits a Five Star Frog Splash for the win.

Winners – Roman Reigns, Sheamus & Rob Van Dam

The Usos vs Goldust & Stardust

Jey and Goldust trade punches before Jimmy hits a top rope shoulder block, then Jey applies an armbar and slams him on the mat. Jimmy hits Stardust with a side suplex, then he slams him down and applies a hammerlock before Stardust gets the upset with a sunset flip pinfall.

Winners – Stardust & Goldust

Lana and Rusev come out and brag about their Summerslam win, then Lana starts running down the crowd until Mark Henry cuts them off. Henry tells them to listen to the American pride the crowd has, and two of his proudest moments were when he got to represent the United States twice. He says he never gets involved in politics or people’s national pride, but Lana and Rusev are Wee weeing him off by how they act. Henry says this is his country and they make him sick, then he screams at Lana to shut up and he tells Rusev he’s getting a tour of the Hall of Pain. They have an intense standoff before Rusev takes the first swing, but Henry comes back and blocks a kick before hitting a World’s Strongest Slam and running splash.

Falls Count Anywhere
Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins

Ambrose runs right at Rollins and kicks him out of the ring, then he throws him in the crowd and hits him on the ground. Ambrose trades punches with him before throwing him on the stage, then he hits him a few times before tossing him back down the ramp. He gets some weapons from underneath the ring, and hits Rollins in the stomach with a chair before using it to pick Rollins up and scoop slam him with it. Ambrose takes the chair to the turnbuckles and elbow drops Rollins, then he wedges it in the corner and tries to whip Rollins into it. Rollins reverses and sends Ambrose headfirst into it, then we get back from a break to see Rollins using the kendo stick to choke Ambrose, then he breaks free and knocks Rollins on the mat.

Rollins rolls outside and gets a chair while Ambrose gets up in the corner, then Rollins tries to splash him with it but Ambrose dives away. He DDT’s Rollins on it and gets a two count, then he avoids a Curb Stomp attempt before they hit the ropes and collide in midair. Ambrose gets up and hits a side Russian legsweep with the kendo stick, then he rolls outside and brings a bunch of chairs in the ring. Ambrose sets Rollins up for a superplex on the pile of chairs, but Rollins blocks and hits a sunset flip powerbomb onto the chairs. Ambrose narrowly kicks out at two, then Kane makes his way out as Rollins sets up a table and puts Ambrose’s head on it. He goes up top for a Curb Stomp but Ambrose cuts him off, and he superplexes him through and crawls to make the cover. Kane gets on the apron so Ambrose punches him in the head, then he throws Rollins on the floor near Kane and takes them both out with a suicide dive.

Ambrose rolls him and gets caught with a kick to the face, but he bounces off the ropes and clotheslines Rollins before hitting Dirty Deeds. He makes the cover but Kane pulls him outside, then Ambrose fights back and throws Kane into the steps. He backdrops Rollins into the crowd when he tries to attack, then he throws Kane over the commentary table before running across it, tackling Rollins in the crowd. Ambrose brings Rollins back into the ringside area and takes the commentary table apart, attempting to hit Dirty Deeds on it, but Kane surprises him from behind and chokeslams him onto the table. Rollins gets back up and Curb Stomps Ambrose on the table, then Kane reveals a pile of cinder blocks and holds Ambrose over them. Rollins gets a running start and Curb Stomps Ambrose’s head through them, and the ref immediately calls for the bell, and motions for the medical team as Rollins taunts the crowd.

Winner (by technical knockout) – Seth Rollins

A really good RAW to follow up Summerslam. Every segment had a purpose and delivered at some level, and I honestly think Ambrose vs Rollins II is up there as one of the matches of the year.

And I hate the new title belt more than the last one.

WWE have posted on the website that not only was Dean Ambrose responsive after being stretchered backstage, he escaped medical personnel and is now missing!

I love Ambrose and what their doing with his character. Cant wait for his return.

Raw was actually really good this week, the main event was a PPV standard match. Lesnar and Heyman are pure gold.

Did anybody else notice that they seemed to put a microphone in the crowd when Dolph was going for the ropes to make it seem really loud?

Ambrose and Rollins really carried this show. Dean's line of 'What, it's for charity', after dumping the ice on Seth was brilliantly delivered. Rollins came across as a nasty piece of work at the end of the match. To think most of us thought that Ambrose would be the heel once the Shield split.

Heyman was excellent as well, but Brock's coming into his own with his mannerisms.

Mark Henry's promo on Rusev was really good. Not sure what Rusev gains from going over Henry at this point as he's beaten most of the mid-card faces. Looks like the feud I want over the US title will have to wait.  Sad

One minor gripe was the use of the mid card champions. Didn't have too much of an issue with Miz/Ziggler, but it's annoyng to see champions like Paige and the Usos get pinned.

Viewership drop in the final hour. Not great for messers Ambrose and Rollins. Unfortunately they aren't the boss' daughter so they'll probably get blamed.

Very few faces get cheered nowadays, I can only think of Bryan, ziggler, ambrose, Reigns and the Rhodes brothers being over

It's well documented how big a fan of Ambrose I am and many will attest to me bleating on about him before he'd even joined NXT so to see him being pretty much the most popular face on tv at moment is awesome and something even I never expected.
Everyone expected him to be the heel of the Shield, the one used to be the foil to Reigns face push etc and many could see him as this gen HHH to the Reigns and Punk's version of Rock and Austin but how Ambrose has connected as a face with his character is amazing. I'd always drawn comparisons previously with Ambrose to the likes of Piper and Pillman due to his 'eccentric' style and which WWE are now embracing giving him the moniker of Lunatic Fringe but I actually now see a hint of Stone Cold in him, the way he's rebelling against the Authority in a far better way than what Daniel Bryan did, that despite the odds he's just attacking them despite what might occur and he does it not from the underdog role that Bryan did or from the Cena style role that Reigns has taken.

I can only imagine that in the offices in CT a lot of people stood around admiring the belt and how good the branding looked on it. Which is much, much more reaction than the grand unveiling got.

I thought it was a disappointing follow up to Summerslam. To start the show with the whole Bella Twins / Steph storyline which is nothing more than something to keep Daniel Bryan in our minds was such low impact I'm not surprised viewers started switching over before long.

Lesnar / Heyman & Rollins / Ambrose once again stole the show - the latter let down by what had gone in before meaning viewers switched off. I was surprised they didn't make more of Reigns win instead of throwing him back into 6 man tag action.

Other than the opening segment I thought the rest of the show was really good, the best Raw for a few weeks for sure.

What I really want is for Reigns to cost Rollins a win against Ambrose once. Just one time, enough to annoy Triple H and spark back up the Reigns rivalry with the Authority. At the moment, the Camembert Average is the only one fighting the Authority. Orton feels removed from HHH now and Reigns doesnt mention Trips any more, whilst Ambrose and Rollins is a personal vendetta thing.

Reigns should have some kinship to Ambrose and some problems with Rollins.

Kudos to Rollins again for how he sells that Ambrose clothesline, although if Ziggler did it I'm sure people would complain it was oversold.

There's a difference between overselling and flip-flopping about the ring. Rollins selling one move acentuates that particular move. Ziggler flapping about like a fish out of water (like he used to do a lot) does nothing but make wrestling look daft.

I'm not trying to criticise Ziggler too much here, as he has toned this down a fair bit but selling is not just about how much you can make a move look good. It's also about timing and picking the right moves. That's why Ziggler was getting critiscised. The old Ziggler would likely have sold 4/5 moves in that match in similar fashion hence reducing the impact of the clothesline.

Yeah, it's when it's done with lots of moves, it lessens the impact of them all.

I think Rollins sells pretty similarly to be honest. Mixture between it being Rollins and also the fact hes got good momentum seem to mean it matters less to people
