 Nah - I did that and still had Smith at least one up.

Have to feel sorry for Smith after that. The scorecards don't do his effort justice.
I'd guess he could live with a close defeat, as its in Germany, but that is going to be difficult to take. Damn shame.

It's a shame because that was the best fight Smith could have fought. Tactics were spot on and he really did himself justice. No way could he have gone there and blasted AA out, which sadly is the only way he'd have the belt around his waist at the moment.

I guess Sauerland will make Abraham vs Groves next. Abraham was shocking tonight and Groves should send him into retirement. 

Had Smith won, it would've been a kick in the teeth to both Groves and DeGale, as Smith is a euro level stiff as best.

Oops. Fixing a fight isn't an exact science. I sympathise.

If Abraham wins by a round or 2, three at an absolute push, but those Judges are a joke.

The good news is the only thing he loses is a belt, which are getting more and more meaningless as the years go by.

Paul Smith did his credibility no harm and he will get another shot, there is a history in recent times of fighters getting screwed and getting another shot.

Eddie describing the scoring as a disgrace was one of the of the most ironic things I have seen in a while.
