Today and 2015 RWC
Stating the obvious before the end of this year there will be many Tests played by both
tier1 and tier 2 sides. Results of these will have NO bearing on the RWC whatsoever.
EVERY side experiences defeats in 1986 France and Aus beat the AB`s for example
SA and Aus before1987/ 2011 RWC`s respectively.
Whatever happens today for the RC sides has little bearing on RWC home sides
usually win in it.Tomorrow NZ may have lost there 2nd match since 2011 by
the end of year maybe 3.Aus maybe runners up or Arg gain there first win.
RWC`s are a one off all teams at there strongest etc.because of the pool
setup it will mean the winner beating at least 2 of SH sides in probability.
I have little knowledge of the best England side but they seem to be having
a lot of forwards injured for relatively long periods recently according to media

Its about a 50 50 split of the home side winning isnt it. Awful lot of rugby to be played but a year out you want to set the right tone.

I fancy England to win it. Settled squad and coaching team, plenty of quality players, home advantage.

After all the talking up of England they might just be under as much pressure as NZ. And if they man sausage up a pool game and come second the Boks are what they've got to look forward to. I fancy SA to beat whichever team they have in that QF for sure.

Didn't something similar to that happen before?

TJ,
I think they one of the main faves to win along with the ABs and the Boks and while they may have a settled squad I still don't think Lancaster knows what his best starting XV is, especially the centres. Some have dismissed the 6 Nations but I think if they don't win it (hope they don't of course) then it will be a huge dent in their WC preperations.
