Sale 27 - 32 Wasps
Pete has brought out most of his big guns in the game, front row is scary for a LV Cup game. SJE not selected a lot of his internationals, which will help as the season goes on - not sure about Payne at no13, but Itoje on the bench could be this years player of the LV Cup in real life - world class star in the making there.

Irish 25 - 23 Tigers
Form and injuries hamper Tigers in this game, haven't see Waldouck play for quite some time, Banahan and Monye limited games too. Is close run game in the pack, but just see an edge in form for Irish here, which gets them the win.

Saracens 26 - 29 Harlequins
Very even in the packs, would prefer the Saracens halfbacks to control the game for my side, backlines also evenly matched but a bit more experience in Quins backthree. Thing that sways it will be the difference in quality when the benches unload in final 20 minutes - Sarries would have won if they could have matched that area, but good to see youth given a chance.

Dragons 19 - 29 Chiefs
Relatively comfortable win for the Chiefs, not sure Lundberg is quite ready to start and could get a rough time upfront.

Gloucester 33 - 12 Ospreys
Similar to the game against Saints last week for Ospreys, they do well in Rabo, but when they go up against teams outside that they struggle. Gloucester have some wc players in the starting lineup and at home win easily.

Bath 29 - 25 Welsh
Packs again very even and so are the benches, but the difference in this game is that Bath have selected more players in hte backline who can make a difference with the ball that they get, while Welsh are playing a more inexperienced team, plus going up against George North isn't good for anyone at the moment!

(SJE pretty sure I saw a team put in by Driver this week, but havent seen it up on the thread with the other teams?).

Bath 28-24 Welsh
Welsh could get some joy slowing down Bath ball with that backrow but overall I think the Bath backline is too strong against the Welsh line up.

Glos 32-14 Ospreys
Glos too strong overall for Ospreys who look good in Rabo but will struggle against the international quality of Gloucester.

Dragons 12-30 Chiefs
Pretty routine win here.

Sarries 22-22 Quins
Fairly even overall but possibly a slight advantage to Sarries in the centre. Stronger bench brings Quins back into it.

Saints 24-27 Falcons
Falcons have come here to win and playing a strong squad. They just get the edge in the front row and back row to take the win.

Sale 26-31 Wasps
Wasps targeting this game, not a bad line up for Sale but the Wasps front row and impact bench are pretty scary!!

Bath 29-26 Welsh

Tight affair with two good sides out. I think Bath just shade the front row and scrum and possibly the line out too. Welsh have a little bit more around the park and take the back 5. One a piece in the half backs but Bath a step up in the backline with some serious fire power on show. Bath backline is the real difference in this one.

Dragons 17-24 Chiefs

Irish 26-24 Leicester

Not much in the packs and pretty equal across the board. Irish just seem to step it up a bit in the backline and have a little more across 9-15 as well as home advantage to take the win.

Northampton 21-24 Newcastle

Not much in the front rows with both struggling for scrum form. The back 5 is a step up for Falcons though and they'll get a bit of control here. Not much in the 10's but Falcons a step up at 9 and the centres. Saints midfield could be an issue defensivley against a powerful Falcons line up. Exciting back 3's but Falcons have more quality out this week.

Sale 22-28 Wasps

Serious front row unit for Wasps and they'll get a good nudge on in the scrum. Sale with the better line out options but Wasps a little more around the park. Wasps backrow a little stronger in each position and again at half back, similar story in the backs. Wasps have went in very strong what looks like their best XV, too much here for Sale and they get a decent win.

Bath 28-24 Welsh
Pretty even up front but bath backline better
And at home

Could be 60. Chiefs better everywhere 



Saints 24-26 Falcons
Falcons have come here to win and back 5 much better. Saints in such form with momentum and at home so keep it close.

Sale 19-31 Wasps


SJE concentrating on league where wasps come fully armed. Sale pack get bullied here. BDP not had a great year but that wasps front row will  win some penalty tries if near the sale line.

Sale at home with momentum and some good players but both teams priorities clear here. Sale using tournament to rest big names and blood others wasps playing to win

Irish 27-19 Leicester Irish have form and more threat. Waldouck and Banahan hard to rate

Gloucester backs and pack both too good for Spreys, well balanced and would be ok for ap.

Dragons 17 - 38 Exeter

Don't know much about Exeter 6 or 15. The locks in good form, and like the 7-8 and the backline a lot. Too good for Dragons

Sarries 25 - 25 Quins

Can't split, home advantage just enough to edge Sarries ahead as I just prefer Quins in the pack and Sarries in the backs

Irish 18 - 17 Leicester

Irish win being at home, really really like their backline and they can hold off the opposition backs. Leicester very powerful outside 10 which works in conditions but lack spark of Irish

Saints 22 - 23 Falcons

2 good teams, strong packs but Falcons backs more suited for this light rain, with Saints heavy on flair but less pragmatic. In the sun, an easy TBP for Saints though, that backline is a very attacking one

Sale 27 - 27 Wasps

Both sides a great balance, Wasps just enough in pack to grab a draw.

Not an awful lot between the sides at the set piece but see the Welsh back row edging here. More about the Bath back line but feel Patchell struggles off slow ball and conditions not the best for North & Hogg to get involved.

Saracens 22-25 Harlequins
Quins shade the pack battle with a little more at the set piece and breakdown. Sarries midfield a step up but good form at 10 for Quins while Steyn is struggling. 


London Irish 24-20 Leicester Tigers 
Little more in the Irish scrum but not a lot elsewhere between the packs. Prefer the Irish halfbacks and their midfield is very promising. 


Northampton Saints 18-20 Newcastle Falcons
Not a lot between the sides at set piece but see the Falcons back row getting on top. Saints halfbacks much better at getting the backs going but liking the power in the Falcons midfield.

Play Faz all season and struggle , Play Andy Goode and turn over the form side in the league

Bath Rugby 28 - 24 London Welsh

Welsh put up a a good fight. Bath just have a touch more quality out wide to put Welsh to the sword. 

Gloucester 37-16 Ospreys

Pretty routine win here for the Cherry & Whites.

Saracens 23 - 26 Harlequins

Quins have an edge in the forwards which allows their back line to come into the game. The Sarries midfield is a strong one, and this is a good point of traction in the game for Saracens. But the quality of the Quins bench helps them earn a good away win. 

London Irish 24 - 20 Leicester Tigers

This is a just sign that Irish are a side that are just lacking a little confidence of late. They secure a good home win against a decent Tigers side. The young talent on show for Irish is promising, as they show signs that this side has bags of potential. 

Northampton Saints 28 - 32 Newcastle Falcons 

Falcons edge the pack battle, which allows their centres to make big in roads into the Saints defence. Saints have possess some real attacking ability, but unfortunately are on the back foot with the Falcons dominance in the forwards. 
  
Sale Sharks 26 - 30 Wasps 

Sharks have a side packed full of talent for the future, with some lads that are already great players. Wasps however, have a very strong side out and they will have the ability to put a young and exuberant side away.
