Main events should be Prime time !!

Too many fights on these bills...Delaying the main fights...

Feel That two good quality undercard fights starting at 20.00 should be enough and the main event should be around 22.00...Make sure the other fights are finished by 20.00..

Too many chefs spoil the brew and by the time the real fight comes around the excitement has dwindled.....


Bellew-Clev was near midnight and last night was a disgrace..

They often used to put half the undercard on after the main event, even named fighters.

Benn McClellan was timed specifically for prime time tv, they put the chief supports of the rotting carcass of Lloyd honeyghan and the fossilised but still functional mike mccallum on afterwards.

I understand the desire to build up to the main event but I don't see why they can't do that. Alternatively, you schedule a filler fight before the main event... And bounce it to afterwards if you're running late.

The reaction of the crowd was the main gripe. 3 thirds left after about 4 rounds of Fury/Chis. Some left to get home and some because the fight was terrible as a spectacle.

Good news is WEMBLY has changed its parking restrictions around the venue which means events can go on through the night, this is perfect for boxing as they can broadcast PPV fights across the pond with HBO SHOWTIME and the like which means more money.

I doubt it would mean more money, what gain from the American viewership you lose from the British audience who are less likely to stay up til 4am in the morning.

Agree with Hammersmith. Local support comes first! Groves Froch tickets sold and PPV buys were more important than showcasing it on HBO.

Cardiff City playing in red to attract Malaysian support is an apt comparison. What Malaysian is going to support Cardiff over Man Utd or Liverpool? Don't bite the hand that feeds.

These marathon cards are a chore to get through. I hate them.

McGuigan's Cyclone Promotions has shown some sense previously in scheduling fights on a Friday (early enough to pick up coverage in the weekend papers).

Why not Friday night, a couple of fights starting at 7pm?

Couldn't agree more Mate....

They stack the cards as the fighters themselves sell the majority of tickets (more fighters, more ways to sell tickets, more commission for the promoters).

I don't mind them stacking the cards but they really should have the main event on at prime time. If people want to stay behind afterwards to watch some up and comers then they can, the rest can go off home etc knowing they've seen what they paid for.
