Fantasy Leaguers know how to pick 'em.  The only player in the top 7 that wasn't picked was Matt Jones and he finished 7th.  Fourteen Fantasy Leaguers picked the winner in Brandt Snedeker, eight picked runner up Nick Watney, (six doubled them up), two picked 3rd placed Charlie Beljan, no one managed the trifecta.  The low round score at Pebble was -7 and both players, Brendan Todd and J.B. Holmes, who shot 65 were picks too.

1GrumpyGolfer, Raycastleunited, and Hibbz all had five of their picks finish in the top 10 and they cruised to a 1-2-3 finish at the top of the leaderboard.  BlueCoverman had four picks, all within the top 4, to tie Hibbz for 3rd.  Both Davie and I'm Never Wrong also had four picks score points and cracked the 200 point barrier.  McLaren was the only other Fantasy Leaguer to have four picks score points.  Boyhyde, Kwinigolfer, and Barragan had three picks score points and they round out the top 10.  Pedro, RedRage, LadyPutt, EmmDee57, SirBenson, CJB, and Sand also had three picks score points as they finished in mid table security.  Incontinentia slumped heavily in the final round as only two of his picks scored points.  SetupDetermines, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver also had two picks score points.  kouchi had a tournament to forget as just one of his picks scored points.

Hibbz and McLaren earned points from Todd's 65, Boyhyde earned points from Holmes' 65.  Dicky Pride shot 78 to slump to last place but no one picked him so nothing doing there.

The National Pro-Am takes place over three different courses on its first three days with the cut taking place after round three when all will have played the rotation of Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, and Monterey Peninsula's Shore course.  Due to the three courses being involved changes to the scoring will be made.  The Top 5 and 10 Low Scores in rounds one and three will be replaced by the Top 3 Low Round scores on each course in each round.  There will be no Low or Worse round score bonus points until the final round.

Jimmy Walker is the defending champion and five other former champions in Brandt Snedeker, D.A. Points, Dustin Johnson, Vijay Singh, and Davis Love-III are teeing it up too.  Love and Johnson are the only ones to have won it more than once and Johnson is in illustrious company in having won it back to back.  Others on that list, in order they achieved it, are Sam Snead, Cary Middlecoff, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Mark O'Meara.

Jason Day, fresh off his win at Torrey Pines, headlines the field.  He's joined by fellow top tenners Jim Furyk and Jordan Spieth.  Category A is made up of players just within the top 50, Category B has some players who are right on the bubble of WGC qualification so there's still lots to play for.   For those interested 48 players are providing value to the OWGR points on offer for this event, for more detail see the OWGR threads that GPB, Robopz, et al contribute to.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

Everyone please notify others of changes in field before tournament starts and invalid or incomplete picks from participants.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligble for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Thanks Grumps. Thought I had done better than I had. Need to look at the scoring more closely. But well done to you, and for organising one a bit different.
