Not been watching much of Madrid since Carlo took over then as he's been their best defender.

To be fair, its a market price. Players tend to have passed their prime by 30 and are worth less

Not been watching much of Madrid since Carlo took over then as he's been their best defender.

I watch Madrid on a weekly basis sure he's improved himself but then again it wasn't entirely difficult as he often defensively clumsy and fairly reckless

Under Mourinho he was certainly, especially when pushed into a midfield role, hardly ever goes into the ref's book nowadays though.
