Alright benders, long time no speak. Something has been bugging me and I need to get it off my chest, I might get slaughtered for it but here goes....

Kevin Owens. I'm struggling to see what all the fuss is about. I don't like his look, I don't find him particularly charismatic, and I don't think he's particularly great on the mic.

I expect I'm in the minority here. Perhaps he'll grow on me like Ambrose did. I really didn't get him but I'm fully converted now.

Anyway, feel free to share any other unpopular opinions you might have.

Wade Barrett isn't very good at anything.

He was great at banging a gavel and saying "I've got some bad news for you" sometimes from a lofty position. Unfortunately everything else he isn't really good at. It's one of those I find hard to fathom. He has a good physique, he's obviously legitimately tough and he can be a good talker. But, his current position or jobber with a crown is probably just about right for him.

I feel bad for Barrett because everytime he got close to breaking out he got injured, to the point they wont take any more chances with him.

But it's hardly like he comes back from injury and you think 'this is a guy who should be pushed'. I'm bored of him and Sheamus clogging up those mid-card big guy positions, where I actually have to admit that Sheamus is better than Barrett.

3 big(ish) events Barrett has been in this year, the Mania IC ladder match, the KotR tournament and the Elimination Chamber. 3 mediocre performances, IMO depsite winning one of them.

Dolph Ziggler is in the correct place on the card in spite of poor booking.

That's only in hindsight though. At the time as a kid, and without any kind of wrestling knowledge (I still don't have any) I really enjoyed it.

I don't find Balor all that special anyway, but the entrances are a real sticking point.

Rollins is one of the worst champions the WWE has ever had, if they put half as much effort as booking him as a champion than as a heel the product would instantly be better than it is

I like the entrances, I don't get why they'd be intimidating though, Id just think he was one of those cosplay geeks.

I can buy Finn's entrance as intimidating. He's bringing a demon to the ring, not just another wrestler, there's something other-worldly that his opponent should fear, a beast with a huge mouth.

My biggest issue would be that he then dispenses with that and wrestles as a normal wrestler, to whom the entrance may not have happened. So, for those main event occasions where he enters as the demon, I'd really like him to have something he can pull out of his bag of tricks at some point in the match that shows us that the demon is within him when he wrestles those big occasions.

WWE is as much about theatrics and pyro and big entrances as in ring performances. There's many occasions in the past where I've enjoyed the Undertaker's entrance more than his matches. So, I think Balor has something with this that marks him out.

Its a huge spectacle saved for special occasions. I love the way it all fits together, the lights, the movement, the music, it all comes together. Plus, he's always adapting the costume and either altering or adding paint, and the wings added at the last Takeover.

Theres no one else has an entrance with as much gravitas as the Demon.

To add to Proms point - if The Demon beats Owens for the title after losing as just Finn Balor, that could be the moment that solidifies the Demon as another entity.

Yeah, I don't agree at all. He just looks like a Muppet.Systt, Taker, I can see why those have an impact. Balor is just prancing around. It's been used too much already too.

They went a bit 'off the rails' this week for me

I'd agree that generally TNA has been pretty good on a consistent basis but I don't think it has touched NXT and ROH on their better weeks, and overall I think Lucha Underground is a better week to week show, also despite not being new content NJPW on AXS is combining some modern classic matches with a quality English commentary

I think John Cena has been the MVP of Raw this year
