Is Khan wasting his peak years?
His main focus has been Mayweather for the past 2 years with Alexander the only decent name in that mix of opponents and I feel he is tip-toeing around the division to get the Mayweather fight.
If Mayweather doesn't pick Khan for September, where does Khan go? The obvious choice is Brook but he seems adamant to not fight Brook which is stupid as he'll earn more money fighting Brook than anyone else plus a title shot!
Failing that, Bradley would be a good choice as they have history from their LWW days where Bradley seemed to avoid Khan.
Anyways, I think Khan has been foolish, because he hasn't built his reputation or CV whilst waiting on Mayweather and doing that would of been his best way of forcing it.

I think he'll fight Brook If Mayweather is definitely out......
Not sure Manny will come back....He's got nothing to prove...
As for wasting his peak years.....I guess he's keeping realatively busy......with Alexander and the last guy....
Personally I'd like to see him avenge Garcia......
Everyone who has beaten him has "got away" with it !!..
He's 28 his game is based around speed..............He does need to move a little..

Hopefully Mayweather announces soon and Khan moves on.
I heard Khan said he'll fight Thurman end of this year which would be a top rated opponent.
Khan has some of the best options in the division which is why he annoys me by waiting on Mayweather.
He could have:
Garcia 2
Maidana 2
Peterson 2
Thurman
Broner
Brook
Bradley.... but he'll likely fight none of them!

But he has fought Garcia, Maidana, Alexander, Judah and Paulie.....Which is decent opposition so maybe cut him a little slack.....
His opposition isn't any worse than GGG and he's been champion 5 years...

This is a tremendously silly comment. No credit given to those who beat him

Re: Is Khan wasting his peak years?
It's a weird one this as he has undoubtedly played it safe the last few bouts whilst trying to push himself into contention for a crack at Floyd, can't fault him though as so have the rest of the division.
He's been in some good fights and is a great boxer. Hopefully Floyd retires soon and the division can move on. (Not Floyds fault but he is pushing 38/39 now)

Agreed with all of this Trussy, especially the bit about speed 100% mate, time to get a move on, if Mayweather isnt there start building your CV, and focusing elsewhere before its too late!

It's the last few years Truss which frustrates me. Overall he has a good CV but think the green eyed monster has him at present.

Seems to be Khan avoids big punchers (for obvious reasons) but can only avoid that type of fighter for so long....

Re: Is Khan wasting his peak years?
He's wasted two of what could have been his best years for definite if he doesn't get Floyd next. Shame as he'd be in a better position to get the fight if he'd taken on better opposition in the last two years and won.
If he doesn't get Floyd I think it'll bother him mentally. Put so much into it and comes across as desperate for it that he'll look a fool if he doesn't get it.
I don't think he deserves the Floyd fight and would prefer Brook to fight him.

Re: Is Khan wasting his peak years?
I don't think he deserves a floyd shot and definitely think that maybe not having the best of preparation for September 12th could make him look even sillier.
I think a Danny Garcia rematch, now that Danny is struggling to make light welter and then maybe Bradley/brook would at least satisfy the neigh sayers about his merit for a floyd shot.
I just wonder whether a floyd shot would give him a reason to bow out of the game with a decent pay packet (he's been walloped too many times to be still enjoying it im sure)!

Re: Is Khan wasting his peak years?
I've seen it written before that he wants to fight Floyd for the money so he can retire earlier.
Surely with the small percentage he'd get he'd earn more money if he just fought Brook?
I reckon he'll be all over that fight if Mayweather doesn't pick him.

Re: Is Khan wasting his peak years?
The brook fight would definitely be a huge money spinner for all involved but I think (and I'm sure it's in his mind also) that a loss would not only be embarrassing after the "he's not in my league" chants but also clear any future chance of a floyd fight. I guess we just need floyd to complete his reign so that exciting fights can be made.

I don't think losing to Brook would be embarrassing............Most fighters say things like I'm in a league above don't they ??
Khan loses to Brook he loses to the best fighter he's fought..
