SURREY HAVE NAMED A TWELVE MAN SQUAD FOR THE NATWEST T20 BLAST GAME AGAINST HAMPSHIRE AT THE AGEAS BOWL ON FRIDAY.
Gary Wilson is unavailable for selection because he is currently playing for Ireland in their World T20 Qualifying games and Matthew Dunn is unavailable due to a side injury. Sad
sadly there are no burgers on the menu again Rolling Eyes
There is a recall for Vikram Solanki to add some experience to the squad chin

Neat post, JimBob. Liked the ''no burgers on the menu'' line. Very Happy The Corporal won't be chuffed though.

Barring any last minute injury, agree with you about the Viscount missing out. Solanki to come in for Wilson the batsman with Foakes taking the gloves.

Thanks Jimbob.  Agree with you and Guildford about likely starting line up.  One possible explanation for the absence of the burger van is that there is a 2nd XI match tomorrow and Surrey may have decided that it would be better for him to get a game rather than remain parked at the Oval.

'' ... remain parked at the Oval'' - excellent work, Corporal. Very Happy

I understand Ireland's games are next week and so Wilson will almost certainly miss the Kent four dayer as well.

Morning all,

From a Hampshire perspective we've kept with the same squad that has been on a poor run! Never change a 'losing' team..... (?)

Think we will be:

Carberry
Vince (c)
Adams
Shah
Wheater
Smith
Berg
Wood
Briggs
Arafat
Bird

Lots of bowling there, mainly because at least one of our 'senior' bowlers will have a shocker. Normally Jackson Bird.

Jimbob, haha you could say that! (re. Bird!)

Hants give young spinner Mason Crane a debut, think he is only 17 years old.

No Chris Wood or Jimmy Adams. Assume Wood has picked up a late knock. Big loss. Adams out tof form and ccurrently considering resigning as captain in the 4 day stuff

Surrey could be chasing a sizeable target here....I suggest that the Corporal stays behind the bar and carries on serving the drinks mug

Been out this evening and only just seen scores and comments.

The Champo is what most matters by far but still a very disappointing evening.

Well done, Jimbo - guess that keeps you going in this. I don't know what the maths say but realistically that must be us done for t20 this year. Corporal - you just may get the Burger Van serving up a few as Surrey's interest in the tournament winds down.

Late reply, but yes was there jimbob. Mahmood bowled well.
Big congrats to Mason Crane for getting his first wicket... Sangakarra - not a bad start.
Probably his worst ball of his spell too! Bowled a beauty to get rid of Solanki though clap
