That article is a bit of an indictment of the BBC - no facts whatsoever, just vague waffle presumably trying to spark some controversy.

It becomes more like the Daily Mail by the week, I recently saw one of those "baffling the internet" non-articles on the Beeb.

Anyway...back to reality.

Young people in cars... on drugs....
.... which means practically all young drivers I reckon.

So full of their own sense of floating eternal life. Low slung seats, in high rise autos (how vile), road rage always loaded for the slightest incident, absolutely no sense of how much chaos theory growls into action when a car at speed makes the slightest correction. "Oh I'll be able to handle any surprises - I've watched Top Gear since I was a child, haven't I. It's easy. If Clarkson can look at a camera whilst driving at 120mph over a rope bridge in Kazakhstan, then I can sure negotiate a country road with f**king pedestrians on it at 240mph and a needle full of wonder in me veins!!!!! Wey Hey Hey!!!!"

Drivers who leave their car lights on all the time as they drive in good light. I don't care if its automated or not, turn them off.

Note: I Do not / Cannot drive.

My previous job as a manager/supervisor/foreman was to point and shout a lot, when I bothered to get up off my chair of course. If the boss caught me sharing the water with pond-life he'd have my guts for garters.

Council highway maintenance staff, whose job it is to maintain pavements, that park their vehicles on pavements. In particular the council bloke who recently parked his van on a recently repaired pavement near my house, um recently. One of the new concrete slabs is now cracked.

Well as we're on roads and pavements and things, I have one that truly has been a constant annoyance to me through my life - not enough to go to war about but close.

I don't actually know if this happens in the UK - maybe they are just more organised but tell me if it does.

A section of road/street needs a big repair (mostly frustrates in semi urban/urban areas). Area waits and waits on the funding. Then on a big day, a convoy of repair vehicles show up early morning and everyone cheers! FINALLY.
The lads maybe take a week, maybe two of intense all day work. There are traffic management issues that can irritate but most people are happy to put up with the inconvenience if it means they have a pristine new street.

The work is accomplished and the road looks splendidly smooth - nice new spanking white lines down the middle. The place looks wonderful. Everyone has a smile on their faces. FINALLY.

Three weeks later some suspicious looking guys turn up in other vehicles.... they plot and plan and draw yellow lines onto the pristine new surface.... they scratch their stubble and begin digging! New electcial cables, new broadband fibre crap, new sewage maybe, new water leaks.... new f**king something that always spoils the lovely road just weeks or months after put down.

So what gets on my wick? Reverse Logistics.

Exactly the same thing near here where they have just finished a few hundred metres of new bluestone pavers (nice pattern with special cuts).... and I just saw some white, pink, blue and yellow spray paint over sections of it.

Also people who spit their gum or drop litter on this new pavement. Filthy pigs.
