Charl Schwartzel shot a final round, low round of 67 to post 277 for the clubhouse lead and then waited for the final groups to finish.  Ultimately it was enough to tie for the lead with Bill Haas and a playoff was needed.  Failure from a greenside bunker ultimately cost Haas and Schawrtzel made par to win.

In the Fantasy League it wasn't even anywhere close to what happened in Florida.  GolferMartin flattened and almost lapped most of the competition; handicapping may have to come into play.  He was one of three to pick Schwartzel and he was one of three to pick third placed finisher Ryan Moore.  He added three other scoring picks for good measure.  I'm Never Wrong had five picks score but the best was a seventh placed finish.  SirBenson was one of four Fantasy Leaguers to have four picks score but his best finisher was Moore.  1GrumpyGolfer, BlueCoverman, and Sand were the other three but they didn't have enough quality to threaten GolferMartin.  Hibbz was the second best placed finisher from those that selected Schwartzel and he had two other picks score points.  AlciG, BobtheJob, Davie, EmmDee57, Eyetoldyouso, LadyPutt, Pedro, and Raycastleunited were the other Fantasy Leaguers to have three scoring picks.  Super_Realist may have only had two scoring picks but when one of them is Schwartzel that will help considerably.  His finish points haul was enough to leap from bottom place to a top six finish.  Beninho, Kwinigolfer, McLaren, MustPuttBetter, Owen10ozzy, SetupDetermines, and TheCleaver also had two scoring picks.

The Valspar Championship is the third leg of the Florida swing and means a fair few of the players will still get to sleep in their own beds and commute a short distance to work for a change.  PGA National may have it's Bear Trap but Innisbrook's Copperhead course has it's Snake Pit in the closing holes.  It's also the last opportunity for some to make the WGC Matchplay by getting into the top 64-66 places in the OWGR.

Jordan Spieth headlines the field as not just the number one ranked player in the world but as the defending champion too. He won in a playoff last year which started a remarkable year for him.  Nearly all of the previous winners will be playing; Jim Furyk, Mark Calcavecchia, and John Huston are missing.  John Senden, Kevin Streelman, Luke Donald, Gary Woodland, Retief Goosen, Sean O'Hair, K.J. Choi, Carl Pettersson, and Vijay Singh are all playing; Choi and Goosen have won the event twice.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.
