Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17
AAC is available, but would need to be an end of season deal for him?
See AAC as quite a bit better than Penaud, but am feeling generous so will do you AAC & Odogwu for Penaud - you can take Odogwu now, but swap AAC and Penaud once season ends?

I might really regret this, but I will do maunder for penaud. I'm more in need of a centre than a SH.

Spencer for Maunder as well?
I understand if not, Maunder looks very good and is academy, but Spencer more established and should have a big season next year.
Would consider other suggestions

Hey.
I messaged one of the guys on here on Facebook and they said it was still running and I'd be quite keen to come back and give it a go if there was a space? I didn't get many details from Chris, but he said that you might be looking for an extra person, so I have registered an account - I used to manage Wasps and Newcastle quite some time ago.
What teams are available? And I also just wanted to see how much time you need to spend in the game as that was my problem originally, it took an age doing tactics. If it is just a case of submitting a team and doing some results then I'd like to get on a waiting list please.
Thank you.
Sam

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17
Hi Sam,
Not to worry, Chris mentioned that you had played before, and I think I remember seeing your name in the past, as I was in another game that rang alongside at the time!
Essentially the Gloucester side is available at the moment, although if you don't fancy them, you are welcome to my Leicester Tigers side - and I will take Gloucester on.
Understand, with regards to time. We have tried to keep tactics to a minimum now (around 350 words is the average - will revise that possibly this summer, but you can do bullet points and put it any format you wish).
Results wise, again you can do full prediction/results which get you a higher bonus, or if time dictates then you can just throw in a score only result (one point margin), to get a bonus and also increase the number of people resulting.
In the end mate, we can try and make it as time efficient as possible. As always, I think your biggest thing will be replying to transfer requests and offers, however they aren't perhaps that vital in the game. They obviously help in the long term and you might need/want to do some at first, but there would be no need to rush.
There is only one game left after this weekend for Gloucester, so if you would like to it give a go for the end of the season and then make a decision on whether you would like to do it next season, that is absolutely fine by me. As I said though, drop me a message and I'm more than willing to help with anything to help you enjoy the game and get the most out of it.
Cheers

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17
That was some time ago, there are quite a few names that ring a bell on here! Is Pete still involved at all? I couldn't see London Irish there.
Thank you for all of that, makes a lot of sense. Is there anyone's tactics you recommend that I copy, they used to be essays on here so 350 words on average sounds a lot better.
I can't find the Gloucester link at the moment but if they are free I will take over them if ok with you? Is it likely that there will be games during the summer?
Thanks.

Which one is the best to base the team around? And how do you make a post, this isn't like the old 606 boards! Thanks.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17
Sam,
If you use this page - https://www.606v2.com/f41-fantasy-aviva-premiership-season-6 - as your 'homepage' / noticeboard. You can see top left, above all the topics, is a button that says 'NEWTOPIC'. That is where you can post a team.
Then if you use the first link - https://www.606v2.com/t65305-gloucester-rfc - and copy the side from there, that would be the starting point.
If you want me to help make the page look better in anyway, I can do that. Just have a play around and let me know how you get on!

Thanks Flux. I think I've got it there. If you could make it look a bit better then that would be so helpful. I like how you have set out your page.
What's with the academy? Can you just put players in there, on the homepage it says there is a maximum number. I'm not sure I know any of the ones in the Gloucester one and looks like I'm going to have to make some deals to improve.
Sam.

I got your PM but it is still saying I need to post more comments before I can respond, so if you don't mind I will keep clogging up this page with questions. Sorry.
My page is set up https://www.606v2.com/t65624-gloucester-rugby and I think you may have already helped me out with an edit there. So thanks for that.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17
Not to worry mate, you'll get it in time. Likewise with the page, have a look at some of the way guys set out teams and tactics. I usually tidy them up, so that everyone has a similar looking format, so don't fret too much on that front.
Will see what I can do your page if you like mate
Essentially you have an academy squad and a senior squad. Your senior squad can have up to 40 players in it, and your academy allows you to have extra 23 players, so along as they are born on or after 1st September 1994. And then next season that will become 1st September 1995.
I wouldn't panic about clearing the decks at the moment with the academy, as with a lot of young lads they can flourish later. However you may have to make some room over the summer in the senior squad, for current academy aged players, that might age out and progress, or you could just release them.
You are pretty much in the clear until next week. When you'll need to a team and tactics on the match day thread. Have a look at this weeks - https://www.606v2.com/t65597-aviva-premiership-round-21 and one in the past few weeks - https://www.606v2.com/t65514-aviva-premiership-round-twenty to see how the threads evolve until I post the results.
Feel free to look at offers and make offers for other teams. I will monitor offers and help out, as you will no doubt be bombarded with posts and PMs for offers, I don't want you to be fobbed off too much, but I'm not wanting to nanny you too much either! If I see something that might be too much much in someone elses favour, I'll message you just see if you are alright and might advise whether or not to accept or continue as is.
Otherwise welcome to the game

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17
That is really helpful, thanks again. If you don't mind it would be good to go through some transfers with you when the offers come in as I had a bit of a habit of losing out before.
Look forward to getting involved. One last question, what is with the England rule? 8 players have to be from England in a match, as looking at the Gloucester team that is a little difficult. I think I understand the domestic bids now, but am I able to release an academy player and replace him for another one in the Gloucester academy?
I promise no more questions today.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17
No worries mate, want to make it as easy as possible so that you can stick around
With regards to English players, you need to have of them in your squad on a match day, with at least four in your starting XV. In Europe the quota is higher but can deal with that next season.
On your domestic bids, I didn't realise you had none left! You would only use these bids to sign academy players, or domestic players, or players that have been released.
More than happy to go through a list of players to help you identify who is available.
What I have decided to do is to retrospectively allow you one bid for foreign player (so anyone outside of England or not in the league currently) and one domestic bid. Just to help out. Don't feel like you have to use them straight however!

Yes can sell you Camara - how much? Would £8 million be a good figure.
I know that I need to make a few releases but am working on a deal or two to swap players from my main squad for academy guys, so shouldn't be over the limit for very long.
