I'm not sure what the answer is to that - I don't see much issue with being down a player or two. For the right deal I'd happily do a three for one or something no question.

I must admit I do like the JA system, which is your only option to lose players is through releases. It means that people aren't holding out for lawyers value all the time and will happily sell players at a loss.

So if I've got Calum Wilson for £8m at the start of the season and I'm looking to sell, I'd be wanting a similar amount/slightly more. On JA my only option is to release him for £4m. It gives scope to domestics IMO.

Transfermarkt have Raphael Guerrero's main position down as a centre midfielder.

No one wants Pepe then? He's still a vital member of the Real team for this season at least and is still in thr top 10 CB's in the world. And if he decides to renew his contract that would be a surprise.

I think having it as his main position already is a stretch, but he has more games there since joining Dortmund than he has on the left And he has quite a good record playing there. Got a good few goals and assists.

Depends on what style you want to play.

As a player, I prefer Marchisio. Once of my favourite players and massively underrated because he was in a midfield with Pirlo, Vidal and Pogba. He is going to be more mobile and get forward more than Krychowiak.

But he is also going to do less of the dirty work that might allow Alonso to play a bit more.

Very strong throughout though I'd say you need a better striker and perhaps a bit more beef in midfield.

I had him at the start of the Ja league, every week all I got was 'he's not proven'. Ended up having to trade him away to conform to their 'must be good for 3 seasons' rules, felt I'd betrayed my hipster values in doing so.

Thinking it's about time to do a budget spot check this week!!

Can everyone make sure they have their budget on their team page and make sure it is up to date. It is also useful to have all the ins and outs, but not essential. It just helps when checking.

What was the consensus regarding the tactics deadline? I'm sure you lot were saying it's fine to move it to Sunday midnight and I handed mine in last week to hero on Sunday evening on that note. Let me know as I can amend my budget as I've already added the money but will remove the 2mill if you want me to.

In my opinion, let's set it as squad cut off stays the same and submission is by end of Sunday.

Seems fair tbh. Ive have a strict no lateness policy though since extending it.

So if tactics are not submitted by the end of Sunday, its a default +2 goal win unless the submitter has told that week's lead voter, and their opponent why they are going to be late?

Or you could go for a bit of both:

• Tactics in by close of Friday - you get bonus
  
• Tactics in after Friday deadline, but before end of Sunday - no bonus
  
• Tactics not in before the end of Sunday - no bonus and default loss by +2 goals

Okay, can't disagree with keeping it simple.

So the proposal is:

• Tactics submission deadline pushed back to 23.59pm Sunday
  
• Squad cut off stays as end of Thursday (to allow for submissions Friday to Sunday)
  
• Tactics in before end of Sunday gets weekly £2m bonus
  
• Tactics after this get no bonus, with no exceptions
  
• Tactics after this gets a default loss, except in extenuating circumstances which must be communicated to the lead voter and your opponent as early as possible
  
• If both managers of a match are late, both lose (or more accurately, neither gets awarded the win) and -2 on their GD
  

If all managers agree we can put it in place for this week. For the last couple of weeks, I think any manager who submitted before end of Sunday gets the bonus due to the potential confusion
