With seven of the top eight finishers and another six picks in scoring positions the points accumulated by Fantasy Leaguers was significant.  With four scoring picks in the top five places plus another scoring pick Davie was able to hold off the charge of Eyetoldyouso who matched him for scoring picks but only had three in the top five.  Sand and Kwinigolfer also had five scoring picks but Sand had Garcia who Kwini didn't pick.  GPB, McLaren and Owen10ozzy had four scoring picks but Owen's were placed between second and seventh and neither GPB or Mac could match that.  Be_the_Ball and Raycastleunited both had three scoring picks but Ray had a one, two combo which took him above BtB.  LadyPutt, Robopz, SetupDetermines, SirBenson, and Super_Realist all had two scoring picks while I'm Never Wrong and TheCleaver both had one scoring pick.

Owen's pick, Lasse Jensen, shot 65 for the round of the day.

The European Tour completes it's Desert Swing with a trip to the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai for the Desert Classic.  Henrik Stenson is the top ranked player in the field and is also one of the former champions taking part.  More headlines will be generated by the devil ranked Tiger Woods who is playing in Dubai for the first time since 2014; Woods has won here either side of Stenson's win and will be playing his opening rounds with defending champion Danny Willett.  Other former champions in the field include Stephen Gallacher, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Alvaro Quiros, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Thomas Bjorn, David Howell, Jose Maria Olazabal, and Richard Green.  Gallacher is the only champion to defend the title while Ernie Els holds the most titles with three times all won between 1994 and 2005.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Never fly commercial!! And certaintly not with a bad back.

Play was suspended with two groups, including two picks, left to finish their first round. Looking at the scores none of the players are likely to have an impact on points scoring unless Karlsson finishes eagle, eagle and Aiken finishes eagle, albatross.

An unofficial update for round one will be published shortly although it's unlikely to change.

With round one still to be finished this is an unofficial update but scores for the Fantasy Leaguers are unlikely to change.  Sergio Garcia set the pace with a 65 to take a one shot lead.  Garcia was picked by Davie, Eyetoldyouso, Raycastleunited, and Sand; they're all off to a flier.  Everyone else shares a top five spot but is yet to get off of the mark.

Rounds of 67 or lower were needed to earn points from round one.

The wind caused carnage for the late, early half of the draw and that meant the cut line fell at +1.  Three Fantasy Leaguers, Be_the_Ball, Eyetoldyouso, and Sand, almost kept the full set but their one pick that missed the cut did so by some margin.  Kwinigolfer also earned two cut bonuses from his seven remaining picks; Category B proved problematic for Kwini and the vast majority of the Fantasy Leaguers.  Davie, GPB, Owen10ozzy, and SirBenson also have seven picks left.  McLaren, Raycastleunited, Robopz, and SetupDetermines all have six picks left; Robo was the only one not to earn a cut bonus from this group. I'm Never Wrong and Super_Realist both have five picks left and both earned a cut bonus.  LadyPutt and TheCleaver both have four picks left.

Chris Paisley and Matthew Southgate both took advantage of the draw to shoot 66 to tie for the low round of the day.  Paisley was in Kwini's selection.

With round three suspended and one pick still to finish this is another unofficial update.  Tyrrell Hatton had the round of the day with a 65 which is unlikely to be matched.  Be_the_Ball, Davie, Kwinigolfer, McLaren, Owen10ozzy, and Super_Realist all had Hatton in their selections.  With rounds of 68 needed to make the Top 10 Low Round scores BtB and Davie added another three scoring picks.  Eyetoldyouso, I'm Never Wrong, McLaren, and Raycastleunited all had three scoring picks.  GPB, Kwinigolfer, Owen10ozzy, Sand, SetupDetermines, and SirBenson all had two scoring picks while LadyPutt, Robopz, and Super_Realist each had one scoring pick.

With seven of the top eight finishers and another six picks in scoring positions the points accumulated by Fantasy Leaguers was significant. With four scoring picks in the top five places plus another scoring pick Davie was able to hold off the charge of Eyetoldyouso who matched him for scoring picks but only had three in the top five. Sand and Kwinigolfer also had five scoring picks but Sand had Garcia who Kwini didn't pick. GPB, McLaren and Owen10ozzy had four scoring picks but Owen's were placed between second and seventh and neither GPB or Mac could match that. Be_the_Ball and Raycastleunited both had three scoring picks but Ray had a one, two combo which took him above BtB. LadyPutt, Robopz, SetupDetermines, SirBenson, and Super_Realist all had two scoring picks while I'm Never Wrong and TheCleaver both had one scoring pick.
