Parker V Hughie Fury Set For April 1st

The purse bid was won today by Duco Events with a 3 million bid, beating Frank Warren who bid 2.8 million.

The fight for the WBO strap looks like it will take place in Auckland on April 1st.

Do you think Hughie can do it?

I think hughie will be much better having got over that illness

His dad wouldn't have put him in there if he didn't believe he could win

I think hughie can be a real good heavyweight and I'm looking forward to it

It's a tough ask for someone who has yet to fight anyone who would be classed as even close to 'British title level'.

Personally i have seen precious little from Hughie that makes me think he will win a "World" title. He can box for sure, but he does not possess that extremely useful heavyweight attribute: The knockout punch. He's a big lump, but doesn't punch his weight. I don't think he's savvy enough to hold off someone of Parker's level just yet, and he doesn't have the dig to get himself out of trouble.

Think he'll get stopped in about 8 rounds.

We know it's a tough ask for Parker but what about hughie?

Seriously, parker's limited  but I've yet to see anything in hughie to suggest he's going to amount to anything. But then people said that about Tyson.

Just when you thought things couldn't get worse for HW boxing!

Hughie is a talent but not thought anyone close to a top 10 fighter in an awful decision.

HW division is now mediocre fighters not fighting the most valid.
