SmackDown Live moving to Fox.

WWE have sealed a coup of a deal with SmackDown Live moving to FOX starting in October 2019.

With two different live shows on two different TV Networks this could be huge for WWE. You've got to imagine that both networks will want to beat the other. WWE have essentially created their own competition.

The money is the big thing. 

Basically, they’re gonna be making most of their money by a long way through TV. So does the PPV model matter? TV viewers now matter most. They’re major, major profits are TV, and they’d be flying at amazing levels even if they had no network and merch. 

Another one that’s confusing on how talent gets paid.

Its also worth noting that its moving to Friday nights aswell. Also no word on where this leaves 205 Live.

Reports coming in that the deal is worth $1bn (BILLION) over 5 years to the WWE.

Friday nights is better - does open up likelihood of brand split dying. If Fox, the bigger network, is paying this much money, surely they want the big stars? Ronda is gonna be wanted everywhere

Wonder if 3 hours is on the cards. 1 billion is we get what we want money

Think belief is Fox wouldn’t want it. Although Fox’s model is going through huge changes - but I think Smackdown! would start on Fox just as a big sports things starts and it could immediately be moved to the second Fox channel
