SURREY VS GLAMORGAN/HAMPSHIRE HAWKS T20 VITALITY BLAST

SURREY HAVE NAMED A THIRTEEN-MAN SQUAD FOR TOMORROW NIGHT’S VITALITY BLAST CLASH WITH GLAMORGAN AT SOPHIA GARDENS IN CARDIFF.
Jordan Clark, Jade Dernbach and Ryan Patel drop out of the squad that made the trip to Hove for Sunday’s abandoned clash with Sussex – with Clark unavailable after becoming a father for the first time yesterday.  
There is also a recall for seamer Conor McKerr, who has returned from his recent loan spell at Derbyshire and is available for selection tomorrow night.
There is no place in the squad for Rikki Clarke or Matthew Dunn.

The club needs to tell us what is going on with Dernbach and Clarke, neither are injured so why have they been left out?  
probably McKerr and Amla to miss out, but no one would be upset if Amla started instead of Burns.

Having recalled Alfie's man Conor McKerr early from his loan spell at Derbys, I reckon we might pick him. With Rikki Clarke apparently out of favour, McKerr is probably the most logical fill in for Jordan Clark.

If that happens, maybe Geddess and Amla to sit this one out. In line with your post, JimBob, I would pick Burns over Amla but only because Amla is by some way the worst fielder.

Cheers jimbob! I think it'd be daft to get McKerr back just to sit on the bench, so it's 1 from 3 of those batsmen. I get guildford's point, but I think I'd give Amla a go just to see if he can be any slower batting than Burns!

Moriarty has batted very little for Surrey and I suspect that part of his game isn't (much) rated. Can't blame the defeat entirely on who batted 10 and who batted Jack though. Mucked up at several key points. Very disappointing.

No update from the club about squad news for tonight's game against Hampshire so I would assume it's the same 13 to choose from.

Yeah, that's my take as well. Maybe McKerr gets a gig tonight? If so, for Geddes?

Yep, I also thought our total was short. Clever bowling and extremely good fielding to turn it round. Particularly pleased and surprised by Overton's return.

Still so many problems Evans totally out of form, Burns still playing Geddes batting at 8
As stated by Guildford earlier why have we recalled McKerr ?

To be fair jimbob, we haven't got a lot of options in the batting dept, I've said give Amla a go, but I doubt he'd score quick enough, same with Patel, although he could have a go bowling, and I deffo agree with guildford over McKerr, we actually called him back from the loan....for what reason?! To be a sub fielder??! Another very strange decision
